Pricey but understandable quality. I use these for dip flex calligraphy. Just on occasion for writing cards or when friends need things for weddings etc. This has the right consistency for doing flex nib dip calligraphy. Just make sure you shake well before use and that you seal it well after. Wash the nibs then to prevent damage to your nibs.

This ink is really great. I'm not an artist in the visual sense, but got this to write with a glass dip pen. I found the ink to be very thick and not travel down the pen's grooves very easily at first. I did find that diluting a few drops of ink with a drop or two of water seemed to fix this issue without causing any negative side effects to the ink or how it dries. The way it looks reminds me of the sparkly gel pens from the early 2000's, which is really fun and nostalgic. Once it dries, the glittery silver comes to the forefront a bit more.

Super pleased with this entire line but love the iridescent black. I have never seen an iridescent or metallic ink that didnt require shaking before each use, so I disagree with the negative reviews stating that it separates... of course it does, it's physics. :) I'm very fond of using this particular ink for addressing envelopes with a pointed pen and find it works well on various colored papers. I really like the consistency and on a long day I can easily add a drop if water if it becomes thick over the course of the day (without diluting the opacity) Highly recommend.

I expected it to clearly have a black base with silver shimmer interspersed throughout it, as I expected with a name of “black sparkle.” However, though it has a black base, the reflective particles almost completely obscure it so it looks completely like a shade of pewter. Having said that, I have no other complaints. It flows well, dries fairly quickly, and is nicely visible. Like with all the other calligraphy inks, remember to shake well to mix it up before using. I use it with a dip pen with a blue pumpkin nib on envelopes to send to my pen pals.
