Great book of recipes
I like the way the book is setup, i.e. not with the same structure as the actual Long Weekends series. Still, using the excellent Index, you can find all the recipes from a particular place.Enjoyable book and enjoyable meals!

another Rick Stein treasure
Is there any cookbook or series that Rick cannot add his magic too? I don't think so! I absolutely love all his food travels and cookbooks, this is no exception. Recipes from the series and also some Rick Stein original recipes inspired by his visits. Even though there are some ingredients I cannot source, living here in Oz, they can be easily substituted. Another great book for Rick Stein fanatics.

Best cookery books around, very full of recipes, stories and photos great
Rapidly becoming one of my favourite cookery book authors, I recorded some of Rick's long weekends before Christmas and promptly forgot I had them, anyway after watching them there were a lot of items that sounded very nice so after discovering that I could buy the book as a hardback for £10 (less than the kindle version ???) I bought it.As with the other Rick Stein book I own (the trip across India) this is a big think book full of little stories, recipes and lots of nice photos. Meaning no slight or insult Rick is a cook who is more concerned about tasty food than spending hours making to look pretty which means you get easy to follow recipes and tasty food as a result. its not snobby or pretentious just top quality food without fuss.I can only recommend that you buy this and have a handy pad next to you so you can start your shopping list, Lamb and aubergine stew for me this weekend possibly with a baked pasta pie later in the week.
