It works fine.
The new one I ordered works just as well as the one it replaced. However, it cost twice as much as the one it replaced. 6% - 7% "inflation"? No. Just 100% greed. You're welcome.

It's just okay.
The leaf catcher is just fine. It's the hoses that are required to connect. The Zodiac brand hoses have failed. They have a unique twist lock that connects to the cleaner and the leaf catcher. They do supply twist lock to slip adapters, but you really need 2 sets. One set to get from the wall to the leaf catcher and another set to use between the leaf catcher and the cleaner. I cannot find these parts available for sale anywhere.Any assistance on where to locate these parts would be appreciated!CheersUpdateAfter years with this leaf catcher, I would not purchase again. The hoses get caught on the catcher. Then the vac won't reach the walls and far corners.Next leaf catcher will be straight in line design, like the one I replaced.

Does it's job
Got this to replace an old set up on my pool cleaning system. This is easy to see and work with. The can separates easily from the top and is self draining. Pulling the center piece out drags out the debris. I have this hooked to my bottom cleaner, and use it also on my vacuum handle. Does well on both.

Works well, but only if you have good suction.
This device performs effectively when the vacuum is pulling correctly and the suction is strong, but it does have a tendency to slow down the vacuum when used in-line. Overall, it's decent, but I personally only use it when there's a substantial amount of leaves in the pool.

Excellent product
I live in FL and have several live oaks and do not have my pool screened in. I only recently moved to this house, so figuring out the pool/leaf situation took a bit of trial and error. I purchased this at the suggestion of my pool guy and I've only had it for a day but I already love it. It completely prevents leaves from entering into my vacuum line and clogging it, as well as keeps leaves our of the pool pump trap. It is very easy to clean out and installation was super simple. I do have the MX800 or whatever vacuum robot from the same manuf, so I made sure to get something that was compatible. Also, as others have mentioned if you plan to run this inline with your vacuum hose you probably do need something to weight it down with. That's how I originally had it setup and I could see the issue. I then moved it directly to my vacuum intake line which is in the wall of my pool, and then connected the hose/robot to it. Works like a charm. I wish I knew these existed before I clogged up the lines and had to pay to have someone blow them out. Highly recommended if you need to remove a lot of leaves, and have an intake that you can plug this into (I doubt it would work well connected directly to a skimmer). No issue with the seller, or any missing parts, as far as I can tell.

Easy to put on easy to clean
Wonderful.. I’ve had three other leaf attachments, and either they broke, or the top is ridiculously hard to get off and this is the best I’ve ever found

Worth the $$$
This is our first time using it and as some of the other reviews say the basket floats to the top which stops the cyclone action. But my husband felt it was worth coming up with a way to solve that problem. He didn’t want to return it since it works so well. So I took two 16.9 oz water bottles or 8oz might work better, filled the bottom with gravel (obviously small enough to get inside the bottle) then filled them with water, tied butchers twine around neck of bottle and then tied the other end to handle of basket. It weighed it down perfectly. (I watch MacGyver on Friday nights) The only other issue we had, and it may not be a problem for everyone, but we are literally right next to a conservation area and our pool is not screened in so we get A LOT of leaves, at certain times of the year. So because of this we had to empty the basket a bit more often then some other people might. But this was true of the regular leaf catcher too. Since we know that it worked so well on it’s first run and if it continues to do well we are considering going back to a creepy crawling vacuum to at least help keep the leaves at bay. That whole work smarter not header theory. If we encounter any new issues as we continue using it I will update my review, but as of now we feel it’s worth it. The floating issue was the only reason I gave it four stars.

Works really great.
Had a pool enclosure that insurance didn't cover after a hurricane after a summer, everyone liked no having the enclosure as it allowed the water to be warmer and was just overall better. So I decided not to replace it. But do get a lot more leaves and by adding this it has helped to keep my pool vac going longer.Only negative is the whole Zodiac line of parts just don't seem to be made for use in sunlight... and I expect this will be the same so I gotten to using it only at night. The MX6/MX8 hose system is flawed.
