Goddess Kali Mata - Sequin Decorated Cloth Print Wall Decor

This is one of the few items that average look like they are authentically made in India - AND is good quality. It has clear detailed printing and gold sequins.

In all honesty, most of the pictures of this tapestry are not that flattering. I bought one based on the reviews of how vibrant the colors are and how much better it appears in person. They were not lying! When I took mine out of the bag it didn't even look like most of the photos here on Amazon. The colors are super vibrant, striking, and the tapestry is well constructed. I give it a 10/10. It's practically impossible to know how gorgeous this tapestry is without buying one and for $10 you really can't go wrong. Its also close to impossible to capture photos that accurately show the gorgeous sequins (I think that's what they are called) that this tapestry has on it. They shimmer in the right lighting, and they really add an additional layer of beauty to this tapestry. I would buy again in a heartbeat and am considering getting one of Shiva now that I know how beautiful the Kali tapestry is. 10/10! Stop waiting! Buy one!

Sooo beautiful. Took a star away because it’s very thin. But apart from that it’s perfect. Decent quality, bright & vibrant colors, and a wonderful size! It’s huge! It looks amazing on my altar :) Oh! the sequins don’t really stay on the best, I lost a bunch opening it. But once you get it hung up and stop touching it, it’s fine :)

Shiva is Shakti as Shaktk is Shiva. Rudra (the proper Rig-Vedic name of Shiva, which is but a title for Rudra, just as Hari is a title for Vishnu). All gods are their own consort. Shiva is Shakti is Parvati is Kali and vice-versa. Nothing can destroy Shiva, and Kali is the embodiment of absolute nothing, hence the symbol of Rudra/Shiva beneath her. -- ideally, this tapestry should be used as a heavily symbolic meditational deity image, much like a Vajrayana (Tibetan/Bhutanese/Nepalese) Buddhist thangka tapestry, or like a yantra, as within the context of tantric practices in general. Colors and decor are even more vibrant and lovely than the pictures. An essential for any pracitioner of shaivist, mahadevi, or tantric traditions (especially vamachara.) Highly recommend, don't expect speedy shipping, though (which is a positive thing in this writer's opinion,?as it builds up one's virtue of patience.) 5 stars out of 5 -- VERY affordable, fine quality, lovely in general. This is a neat wall hanging. The colors are bright and the sequins really complete the piece; they sparkle in various light settings from bright gold to subtle and twinkly. It's a little larger than I was envisioning so I hung it on my wall since my bedroom door was too small. It's definitely fragile however, be careful: I put mine in the dryer after removing it from the package hoping to remove the fold creases and ended up picking a bunch of sequins out of my dryer that fell off. My coloring is slightly different, which is to be expected, although her skin is *really* pink which took a little getting used to. Regardless, it's a beautiful hanging and I feel like I got a great deal for the price I paid.
