Breathtakingly Brilliant. Unbelievable value.
I already owned 1 Pi B+ and 3 Pi 3B+ I'm ashamed to say only employed as Libreelec Kodi clients and was really looking for a Pi 4 when I happened upon this Pi 400 (thank you Amazon for including it in the search results.) A no brainer as to which to buy quite frankly unless you need the Pi 4 specifically for a particular project. I was already having evoked within me that ZX Spectrum feeling from when I was 16. Just over 90 whole pounds and 2 days later the shoe box sized package arrived. I've hooked it up to a 37" 1080p TV that was redundant and looking for a use and oh goodness what a joy. Some easy set up, a few updates updates later and I'm immersed, under the bonnet of this surprisingly responsive and breathtakingly brilliant machine. I had my career in IT however thoroughly enjoying working through the Scratch and Python exercises in the highly informative and engaging book. Around every corner there is something to try and explore; a bit of set up to get just right, a project to spend an afternoon learning about. Endless fun. Quite brilliantly thought out and put together by true geniuses and great people at the Pi Foundation. The library pdf e-books to help with the widest range of projects that the Pi Foundation have had written and made available for free download under the Help->Bookshelf menu item is quite stunning. As well as more educational software and information than you could shake a stick at, it is also supplied with Libreoffice, CUPS (for printing), games, video not to mention anything else you could likely think of within the software repository. Just awesome.Have already bought a second machine for my 30 yo son who teaches and also wanted one 30 minutes after looking around mine. My 4yo Granddaughter is next.Unable to recommend highly enough. Unbelievable value.

All you need is a monitor!
This is the best raspberry pi to buy starting off. It has everything bar the monitor and is very easy to setup and start working on projects with straightaway.

Great educational resource and computer but it does have limitations
If you have a kid, get it. Remember your ZX Spectrum or Amstrad CPC, this is the modern equivalent sort of. It’s not a games machine but it can be, however it can do most things a regular computer can except playing video is not it’s strong point, however most kids do that on their phones anyway. You can do almost anything a regular computer can at a great price but there’s a limit to what the processor can do for that price, video stretches it a bit too far. However you can code and become a maker and plug electronic circuits directly in or link it up to a Pi Pico or Arduino and do even more. It’s neat, everything’s in the one box, ready to go. Just plug it into a tv with an HDMI port.Adults can use this too of course and if you want to do your word processing and spreadsheets the included software is free and Microsoft office compatible. You can set it up to run lots of retro games from all the famous old computers and consoles too. It will happily browse the internet but some sites can feel just a little sluggish.Great for a kid, great for an adult that wants to muck around with electronics or programming, thousands of compatible add one for this, it really is like the glory days of the old computers just brought up to the modern day.

It's a Raspberry pi 400....what's not to like?
I bought this for my daughter to learn with. It's simple, effective and most importantly (for me) compact and small enough to be thrown in a drawer. She's only six so doesn't appreciate it but I love the convenience and the fact I can take it away with me / us if needed. It's lighweight has enough power to watch YouTube and browse the internet and there are a few games on there. All in all it's good value if you are looking for a very cheap, mobile, laptop replacement. Use cases premitting obviously. I love Raspberry Pi's so i'm a little biased but i'd definately recommend.

Fantastic piece of kit
I've had many Pi's in the past, all have been brilliant to work with. This one is no exception. A Pi4 with keyboard and mouse is ideal for a cheap and flexible desktop solution for day to day use. Want another application or OS? Just drop a different SD card in the back. Comes complete with a fully printed guide too!Mine was an Amazon Warehouse product and did have a faulty HDMI cable (probably why it was returned in the first place). This was quickly sorted out with customer service - a partial refund allowing me to purchase a new lead without further expense. Would highly recommend.

Reminds me of the ZX Spectrum
Great little computer, comes with Raspbian on a SD card, easy to start up.Simply insert a USB-C cable (yes, the kind you have to charge your phone), HDMI connector and SD card and you're off!Speed wise it's OK, if you want to surf or code you'll be fine. I use it to code in a Linux environment. For entertainment, I found Kodi to run quite sluggishly on it (in Raspbian, not from boot mind you), but that might just be the build I installed. If you need more speed, you can easily overclock this Pi to 2.1 Ghz - and the cooling fan that's built in is definitely up to the job.

Great learning tool
Bought as a gift but I have multiple Raspberry Pis. Great gift or hobby project for home media delivery, retro gaming or if you just need something to browse the web and watch some videos on.Super impressed with the quality and feel of the keyboard. I really was expecting something far lighter and flomsy, but it's on par with some decent Laptop keyboards.
