3 electric testers in one kit
So the description states this is:-Proster electrical test kit socket tester non-contact AC voltage detector non-contact voltage tester pen digital LCD multimeter NCV betector multimeter test leads for DIY appliance repair.Basically your getting three different testers in this one package.Package includes:1 x Non-contact Voltage Tester Pen2 x 1.5V AAA Batteries1 x Socket Tester (UK Adapter)1 x LCD Digital MultimeterAlready its saved me money as my electrics blew the trip switch and as we are in lockdown and shielding I really don't want anyone else in the house. So we found out it was the plug sockets that had blown. It was then a case of going around plugging in the meter to find out which one it was. We did. My other half is a mechanic and is qualified for wiring work in cars so know the basics. Also his uncle is a electrician so we phoned to ask advice. We found out which socked was damaged and able to cap it off so it's not usable till we get a proper electrician in to fix it.Also i've had fun sorting out my batterys as managed to get some old and new ones mixed up. With the meter I was able to sort them out and recycle the ones needed.

Good price - does the job.
Good little set for the price. Not the most robust volt meter but it does the trick and is great for what I might use it for which is a very basic fiddling around with old hi-fi components (or used to be haven't got any around to fix up at the moment) and replacing bits on them. I'd say if it was your job then you might go for something a little more able to take the knocks. I think there may be 2 models as the booklet refers to a couple of functions I can't find (temperature is one). The non contact voltage tester is good, the higher the voltage the greater the bar graph on the display in conjunction with the red diode and audible beep both of which speed up.The plug tester works fine - tested the RCD test function and the RCD socket breakers tripped like they should. Good idea to let the rest of the house know so they can switch off their PCs / TVs / Iron Lungs before hand in this case.....ooops.All in all a great little set for a bit of a fiddler like me - if you were a full time electrician dealing though you would probably invest in something more robust.

Great set of electrical test units
This is a brilliant electrical test kit with three separate devices used in electrical testing. First things first, I am a DIY-ER and NOT a qualified electrician so will be reviewing this product from that perspective (which to be fair is how it is marketed). The pack contains a Multimeter (which is slightly smaller than other units I have seen before which I quite like as a DIY-er). The Mulitmeter comes with cables that plug into the main unit (with each cable having a safety cap due to being quite sharp) and as a bonus, was also supplied with the required 9v battery (which was actually fully installed so if you don’t plan on using this straight away, worth disconnecting it). The device has the full range of tests you would expect from a Multimeter and functioned perfectly when I used it in a test! There is also a socket tester which is essentially a plug that you insert to a plug socket and by virtue of a small display and a series of lights gives an indication of the voltage and the lights determine if the socket has any wiring faults without the need to remove the socket front! This worked perfectly as you will see the from the picture and obviously requires no batteries as it powers itself from the mains socket.Lastly, there is a non contact voltage tester pen which is used to detect voltage and can be used on a socket or a cable without having to make contact with an exposed cable (ie from the socket front or by touching the insulation of a cable) Again, this is, a useful bit of kit and as you will see from the picture, it also worked perfectly. By touching the insulation of a live lighting cable, the pen gives a red warning indicator accompanied by a beep and the display also has a bar indicator to determine the strength of the detection (with the beep becoming faster the higher up the scale it is). This is a great bit of kit that I have used several times already and have no doubts that I will use it many times going forward. If you are a keen DIYer who dabbles with electrics, then I would suggest this is a good bit of kit to have available and at a pretty decent price.I would have no hesitation in recommending this product. However, (here comes the inevitable safety warning!!!!) - please ensure that you consult a qualified electrician if you are in any doubt about using these products, I am a competent DIYer who is actually Part P qualified so I am comfortable with this kit.
