The Nuttery Roasted and Lightly Salted Antep Turkish Pistachios - 16 ounce pouch bag (1lb)

I'm very fussy about the quality of my pistachios. I want the Turkish Antep pistachios because they have more oil content and are much tastier than the dry and larger California pistachios. I read reviews for all of the Turkish Antep pistachios offered on Amazon. Even the best-rated ones got a lot of negative reviews, where people complained about the nuts being small, stale, or impossible to open. Shipping charges made an already expensive item even pricier. I did a Google search and found the Nuttery on my own--my Amazon search hadn't turned up this source (although I did one just now and the Nuttery did turn up). I took a leap of faith and am so pleased. These are absolutely the nuts you want to buy. They are really delicious, good-sized nuts and very fresh. I'm almost at the end of my first bag, and I have found very few nuts that I couldn't open. Unfortunately, free shipping was discontinued by the time I placed my second order.

The positives are they are easy to open and have a comparatively speaking very high percentage opened adequately. I feel the ones I received were either a bit old or overcooked or possibly not enough salt? I can't pinpoint it. I just know I have recieved better tasting ones from another Turkish pistachio supplier available through Amazon. (Not sure if I should mention their name.)

Although the nuts arrived well packaged and earlier than I expected, I found the plastic packaging bit flimsy to get into and re-seal. Most of the nuts were fine, but because I love Antep pistachios and have tried a number of sources, I was somewhat disappointed to find in the package I as sent, too many nuts that were shrivelled and/or shrunken and overly crisp. The nuts were lightly salted as advertised and the nuts that were good, were tasty hence the four stars. If I were to judge the package against other sources, I would give three stars.

They run a little salty for those of you watching your sodium. Fresh and delicious!

These are excellent quality. I am picky when it comes to pistachio nuts. I always buy Turkish nuts. These are so so good. The first bag didn't last long in my house. I purchased another and will be a repeat customer. I like my pistachio nuts extra salty so I add more salt to the bag and shake it up real good. Also I should mention the super lightning fast shipping. Like a day. or two. You won't go wrong purchasing these!

We plan on crushing these and using them to coat salmon. It would have easier to crush them if they were not in the shell a waste of good flavor on the shell that could have coated the nut meat.

I've ordered Turkish Pistachios from several different companies on Amazon, but I must say that The Nuttery's were BY FAR the freshest and best tasting of ALL! They were shipped to me within a day of ordering, and I would swear that these were freshly roasted, just for me! Out of one pound of nuts, there were only 11 that were unopened, and they were so sweet and crunchy...just perfect. I highly recommend The Nuttery for all those who are "nuts for nuts"!

I gave these as a gift and he loved them. His comments to me touched on these points. They had a very fresh taste with more flavor than the brand I've always bought in the past. They also weren't too salty, a plus for me.
