Replaced a beloved blender
I had a Kenwood blender for over 10 years, as I raised my kids and had a (largely) happy marriage. It was fabulous and never let me down. But over the years the bowls got cracked and by the end both of them leaked. So with a heavy heart I chucked it out, thinking of the many, many family meals I'd made using it. The kids got big, the wife disappeared but the new blender is great. Hey, I can even grind coffee with this one. Too many attachments if anything and a slightly idiosyncratic user guide, but that's pretty minor. I hope and expect another 10 years of good service! Thanks Kenwood.

Powerful and versatile
Strong motor and very versatile for grating, slicing, making dough, whipping cream etc so very useful. The only downside is that the machine lets some y grated chunks fall through but I tend to fish them out and blend those pieces with the S blade. It’s a good size, I do large amounts of. And cleans easily.

So worth it.
This comes in so many attachments that it makes cooking anything possible. We don’t have an immersion blender so I’ve used it to blend up soup and it worked perfectly. We’ve used it to chop vegetables for a salad and it did it in half the time. Very easy to use. We didn’t even have to read the manual because it’s quite intuitive to piece together. It is a little bit pricey, but we bought this during a sale and that makes it great value for all that it does. The only thing we weren’t too happy with is the smallest sauce blending attachment is not completely waterproof so you can only use it to blend thicker sauces, and nothing to water it. Otherwise it will begin to seep through. Otherwise great in terms of size design and power.

Very good quality.
Bought the Topchef 1100W at first but it was really cheap & nasty feeling & the base was very light but the worst thing was it leaked out of the box first mimosa in the blender & there was liquid everywhere ! that went back. Seeing my mums 30 year old Kenwood still going strong I decided to pay a bit more & go for this, glad I did the plastic is all really thick & the parts are all quality & it doesn't leak which is a bonus. I looked for ages on Amazon & it seems like every blender has at least one terrible review so I struggled choosing a good one but this was definitely a good choice.

Awful.
I’ve tried using this machine to make coleslaw a couple of times and each time I ended up with huge chunks of food going through, and a messy leak everywhere . It’s as though the blades are extremely dull . I feel the machine is too complicated and doesn’t have clear easy assembly instructions. This machine is too heavy and bulky . It’s too loud . Doesn’t have enough storage space in the bag . Awkward to store away. I regret this purchase. I regret keeping it instead of getting my money back . Will buy something small , simple and that actually shreds properly.

Slowly getting to know my food processor
The machine is quite versatile but storage is a challenge, I thought having a storage bag would help but it only takes some bits and you have to take them all out to find what you want, it needs an organiser with separate spaces for each attachments. The bowl is large, the motor powerful and the locking device firm. I can't fit it under my wall cupboards without disassembling. When the dicer is fitted it is so tall that I have to put it on the dining room table to be able to exert the force needed to make batons. The diced veg need a tall bowl to catch them not a plate as in illustration because they fly out with force. The instructions are a challenge to decipher, it would help if the illustration of each part was labelled it took a while to identify each part and decide which tools I actually had because the leaflet is for several models. I'm sure the much less complex Kenwood this replaced, came with a recipe book and was much more user friendly. Once I'd mastered what each tool was and how to assemble it and how to lock the bowl and lid the machine has performed each task so far attempted very efficiently.
