It is packaged in an easy to open cardboard box and an ultra fine Velcro ...
The cable is 3' / 90cm in length USB 3 compliant, has the new USB type C on both ends. It is packaged in an easy to open cardboard box and an ultra fine Velcro cable tie to keep it tidy while stored.I am using and testing it with my Nexus 6P on the Android N preview 4 and have found the app, Ampere Battery the most accurate to test charging rates on the new operating system. I am going to base this review on facts and less on opinion. The cable is quite thick in comparison to the original Nexus 6P lead to handle the max 3 amps, I suspect it could charge a laptop, Macbook or Chromebook faster than 3A, it says up to 100W (I think that’s around 20A) but I have not measured this. The plugs feel sturdy, are around 50% longer than the original but are almost exactly the same shape and size, I have been able to use all my cases with the cable without a need to remove it. It is re-enforced with kevlar, so should hold up well with the rigors of day to day use and comes with an 18 month guarantee. Being USB 3, it should support transfer speeds to 5Gb/s, audio and video, I have not tested this.I used an app, Ampere Battery to measure the rate it was charging. I first tested this lead with the original 3A charger with 89% charge in the battery, the app said it was about 1500mA/h. I then tested the original wire when it was at 91% and the recorded charge rate was around 1100mA/h. The third test, which was a 3A car charger, this was showing around 900mA/h with a 92% charged battery. As the phone battery gets nearly full the charging rate drops, I decided to see if the Anker lead was still the best charging rate. It showed around 1450mA/h with the battery at 93% charge. I have attached screen shots only of this lead to avoid confusion. I drained the battery of my phone to 58% where it should charge at around 3000mA/h (3A), It charged at around 3000mA/h - full speed. To sum up, if you need an extra USB-C lead to charge a phone or compatible laptop, you can't go wrong with this lead. Don't be fooled by the cheap leads, this lead seems very sturdy and out performs the original. For me the facts I have stated above are not a matter of opinion and speak for themselves, this lead while slightly shorter than the original 100cm but superior in every other way. If the length is long enough, buy it, it is better than the original.I was supplied a sample for test and evaluation, and I promised that my review is fair and honest.

Cable Fast Charges and is Small
I had issues with USB 2.0 Type-A to Type-C cables not Fast Charging my Galaxy S9+ with both computers and battery banks. This Type-C to Type-C cable will charge on my Alienware 13r3 laptop and my Charmast battery bank. I'm happy with the build quality of the cable, the speed with data transfers, and the short length. I was looking for a very short cable, but this works for multiple purposes. One thing I will note is the velcro cable holder likes to grab on to a lot of fabrics in my traveling cases and backpacks. So I would recommend using it the other way, so that the loop part (hook and loop) or soft side is facing out.

Cable is good quality but didn't work with my HP Spectre 13 & Galaxy S8+.
I purchased this Anker cable so I can directly connect my Samsung GS8+ to my laptop which only contains USB Type C ports (2017 HP Spectre 13 with 8th-gen Core i7). And it didn't work. The phone would become mounted & recognized by my laptop only to, seconds later, be unmounted. This mount & unmount cycle/loop would go on indefinitely until I unplugged my GS8+. Highly annoying and disappointing.Edit (12/23/17): As it turns out, it's not Anker's fault but HP's fault for my GS8+ not connecting to my late-2017 HP Spectre 13 laptop. HP gimped the USB Type C ports so that a USB Type C to Type C cable won't correctly mount my GS8+. I've tried several other brands - Ravpower, j5create, Belkin - and I'm getting the same result.Even HP Support said that I have to instead use a USB Type C Hub with a USB A connector to connect my phone. Really stupid & annoying of HP.

Excellent
I have a very mobile job. My laptop must be transported with me daily. In order to successfully maximize my workflow, I utilize a portable second screen. When I purchased the second screen and attached it to my laptop, it consistently malfunctioned and would not work properly. At that time, I chose to purchase this cord. This cord has saved the day! My second screen now functions perfectly! My workflow is maximized. And, I get a lot more done. Excellent product!

Will charge Nexus 6P when plugged into the Nexus 6P ...
Will charge Nexus 6P when plugged into the Nexus 6P power brick; however, it will not charge the Nexus 6P when plugged into the Anker USB-C 40W 5 Port USB Wall Charger model AK-A2052121. Surprised it will work with the Nexus 6P OEM brick, but not a charger from the same company. Bought the cable to work with the Anker wall charger, so this is now of little use to me.***Update from 3 star to 4 star*** Was contacted promptly by Anker, and offered a replacement cable as this one appeared to not be working correctly. The customer service was very polite and were easy to deal with. Appreciate a company that goes the extra mile. Will do business with Anker again in the future.

Quality product
This is actually the second one I purchased. So now I have a 3 foot and 6 foot cord. It works great I have one on my desk at work and one in my travel bag. The 6 foot cord was the best. It just gives you that little extra distance from the electrical outlet. There might even be a third one in my future. Great product never an issue with anchor

Fast data transfer for Pixel 3
I just got a Pixel 3 XL, and realized that the cable that comes with it is only USB 2.0, which makes data transfer very slow. I wanted to take full advantage of the USB-C 3.1 ports on both my Pixel 3 and my computer. I am pleased that this cable transfers data at blazing fast speed. For some reason, Windows never measures transfer speed for phone connections, but I was able to transfer a 10GB set of video files to my phone in about 2 minutes.

Another typical Anker high quality product
This is a serious cable. Materials are very durable. This is by far the thickest charging cable I own. The neck of the plug is the weakest link in most charging cables and this Anker cable has a nice long taper extending down onto the wire. Looks like this product was designed to last quite a while. Standard Anker quality and I haven't been disappointed. Bought to charge my Pixel 3 and rapid charging works on that phone as intended. Used it with an Anker car charger.

Works with my phone and tablet
High quality cable that works perfectly with my s10 and S5E. It's a little tight though but not a big issue.
