SOLIDWORKS 2016: A Power Guide for Beginners and Intermediate Users

I needed a book to help me to do an urgent project without any previous knowledge about Solidworks. This is an ultimative book to do such a thing, and for a great price too. Kindle version is very easy to handle. Lot of illustrations and step by step guides. This book just made my day.

Procedures are clearly spelled out.

Not expensive (as many other books in its field), & it uncovers the strength of the software capabilities.The black balloons accompanying each figure are very helpful for all beginners.The thing that make it so friendly to use, that no empty bla bla through the pages as in other books, only action and tutorials.

The product itself is amazing. Highly recommend this book if you want to learn SOlidworks, and also if you want to gain a better understand of how to use it and for what. On the other hand, this seller is no good, and this is the 3rd time we've made a purchase from this seller in my family and each time there seems to be an issue with the book by the time it reaches my house - my book currently has a 2 inch long cut running down the spine that goes 1.5 inches into the book as well (which is affecting about 60 pages and the overall integrity of the book). If you can, I'd avoid this seller :(

Good value, covers lots of material, but the figures for the exercises are small and the dimensions are difficult to read (even with a magnifying glass).

The author(s) appear to be non-native English speakers, and their word usage, punctuation, and grammar are atrocious. It appears that the book was not professionally edited, and the errors are myriad - making the book extremely difficult to read.The author's style is terse and repetitive. Every function is described exactly the same way, English mistakes and all. It's as if a template was written first, and then the details for each function inserted. Reading the book is very tedious.From a content perspective, I would categorize the book as a reference, not a beginner's guide. How to use each function is well covered, but there is very little on why. As a 2D CAD person trying to learn solid modeling the book will help, but only just barely. I cannot recommend the book to others.

Great book

Avendo già una piccola base del programma i primi 3 capitoli li ho affrontati ottimamente. Gli esercizi sono spiegati bene, in modo rapido e senza cadere in spiegazioni prolisse. Il testo è In inglese e di facile comprensione ma nel caso di difficoltà usate un traduttore. Più avanti se mi ricorderò scriverò ulteriori commenti sul questa guida.

Libro esaustivo e scritto in maniera molto semplice (in lingua inglese)copre bene tutti gli aspetti di modellazione 3D, ricco di esempi pratici
