This book is a wonderful resource for practicing psychiatrists! It particularly stands out from other psychopharmacology references in the depth and sophistication of scientific evidence it summarizes and presents. So, rather than being just a cookbook, Goldberg and Stahl have created a very readable and tremendously useful resource for psychiatrists who want to be up on the latest clinical evidence informing practice, and who might value a go-to reference that collects and organizes this information in one place.

Great book

Organization not the easiest to use. Very little written about older antidepressants (TCAs and MAOIs.). Clearly a well researched text.

I found this book to be a goldmine of information for anyone truly interested in psychopharmacology and neuroscience. Conceptually clear and concise. A delight to read. For experienced psycho-pharmacologists, this book brings it all together. I can't imagine a better book for those who are beginning a serious study of psychopharm. If you are interested in enhancing your practical understanding of neuroscience, this is a treasure.

I love this book because it is a meta- analysis of research. Provides one with an enormous amount of information about what the research shows and what works in practice. I use it all the time.
