Simple install
So our RV has both electric and gas to heat our hot water. I noticed our gas was not turning on when the need for hot water was called. I ordered this T-stat for a quick and inexpensive solution. It did the trick. A 3/8 socket is all that's needed for this replacement. I shut the water off, the power to the water heater off, and simply unplugged the existing t-stat wires (2) then removed the single nut that keeps the t-stat in place. Installed the new t-stat, plugged the wires back up and turned everything back on. Within 20 seconds, the gas was on and assisted the electric in heating our water supply.I have the Suburban 12 gallon gas/electric hot water tank.Great price, fast shipping, and would definitely order again if needed. (hopefully not)

Great upgrade for an aging thermostat.
Updated from an old thermostat that was keeping the water at 115 degrees. Installation was easy, took about 10 minutes and now my water temperature is 140 degrees and the hot water lasts longer due to mixing more cold water at the shower faucet. These thermostats have 30K cycles before they start to degrade and will finally fail. Upgrading them early is an easy fix and extends hot water in your RV. Note- the gas burner operates at 12 volts DC and this thermostat is for the gas operation. If you have an electric element as well you will need to order a different thermostat designed for 120 volt AC operation.

I was looking everywhere for the thermostat so whatever you wanna call them I found on Amazon for a 10th of the price RV dealerships want to screw’s real quick and outdone hot water tank works again very nice going to order an extra one just for a back up
