Disney Elena of Avalor: The Essential Guide

I guess for a kids book 5-7 it would be great with the colorful pictures and repetitive nature of the information found here in. The books focus more on the idea of family, than the series. If you already watched the DVD series....really no need for the book. This is not an Essential Guide, but more of an Elena, Family, and Friends...... Usually the DK guides are packed with info that satisfies all age ranges, some original behind the scene information and art. Honestly I was hoping for a map of the Kingdoms of Avalor, in the very first movie with Sophia they have not only the globe but a world Map! I am sure Disney had a high Rez-image of that. Speaking of Sophia the First, there is not really anything about her or how Elena was freed and Avalor retaken. There are a lot of older kids that definitely want more info.....this was a waste of money.

I thought my daughter (7) would really like this book, but she was going for more of a chapter book, which this is not.

best collection for me
