I was pushing 7TB on the drive I had in my pc, I have always been learry about raid, so i opted for the battery back up module for this unit as well. running 4 8tb Seagate Skyhawks in Raid 10. In some marks it benches almost as fast as my 2tb 970 m.2, but once the cache is filled it slows to the low to mid 400s. When I first installed it, I tried to trip it up by pulling the cord, which I know for sure would have trashed the raid, if I used my motherboards on board raid. I'm not sure what will happen when I have a drive fail(I do still use an external backup). The packaging, documentation and appearance in my system are all poor, I don't think this was marketed for JQ public, though it should be. The software and documentation you can download is very good, but not exactly easy to find. Support through the customer link was pretty good, but not so much through the MFG website, which I think is geared more towards enterprise type clients. With all the research I've done, the raid rebuild is suppose to be painless and moving this setup to my next pc build should be pretty easy. All in all I give this unit very high marks for the security, reasonable price and high performance...so high I won't deduct a star for all the time I had to spend trying to figure out how to use it.
