Where's My Joey?: A Heartwarming Bedtime Story for Children of All Ages

This book was really cute. It was about a kangaroo who made dinner, but couldn’t find her baby Joey and in the end of the book she realizes her baby is sleeping in her pouch. Really good book for young kids.

I won this book from a Goodreads giveaway. I’ve read it to my five year old granddaughter so many times. She just loves it. The illustrations are amazing. The story is so cute, you can’t help but smile. I highly recommend this book book for six and under.

Where’s my Joey? 4 StarsI like the map of Australia is the first thing we see. Joey is called to dinner just like my Nana calls me to eat. We had to stop to look up the correct way to say the animals names. So we saw real pictures of the animals. I liked searching for the whale, the turtle, and the ray. I liked how Ms. Koala reminded Ms. Kangaroo to look in her pouch for her Joey. I liked that Joey was in her pouch. But how did she not know that Joey was in her pouch? How did she not look in there first? Did she not hear him snoring? I would tell other people to read this book and look up the different animals in the book. Also I liked the maze at the end and seeing the real animals we looked up. I read some of the book and my Nana read the other half and because of that I am giving this book 4 stars. It was a little too hard for me to read by myself. We were provided this ARC copy from Hidden Gems and this is our voluntary honest review.

Sweet story and very nice illustrations. The illustrations reminded me of wood carvings. They were very cool. The story was sweet with a nice message. We liked the ending very much. There are also facts at the end of the book about most of the animals mentioned as well as maps and activities.

A very written tale about a mother kangaroo searching for her joey and looking everywhere until something unexpected gives her an idea of where to look. This is a really good book to introduce many different species of animals, to introduce students to parent-offspring terms for animals (e.g mare and foal) and just a fun overall book. Definitely will read this one aloud to the littles.

The illustration in this book is phenomenal. The story is so precious. My baby boy's name is Josiah but we call him Joey. 🦘 It's a perfect little book. His older siblings love reading it to him too.

This is a cute book. Would have been a fun read BUT - andand it's a biggy: it does not correctly fit the screen for many of the pages.Would have given higher rating it correctly fit the screen.

OK. These days we are asked to believe people keep forgetting that they have children in the car when the kids die. Why not have a kangaroo momma forget where her baby is? It is possible, you know. However, the search was fun. Children will enjoy this story and all the great illustrations.

I absolutely LOVE this story, formulated during the author's travels in Australia. It's very sweet and has a hidden spiritual message - the person reading it can use it as a teaching moment for children, if they so choose.The illustrations are heartwarming and gorgeous - the pages flow together beautifully. On one of two maps depicting how far and wide Mama looked to find her Joey, it asks the children to spot the differences between the maps. It's an interesting way for children to learn about some of the different animals living in Australia. As well, the book connects with some animal friends in North America. I look forward to seeing the colouring book that will be released at the end of February 2021.

This is a lovely little story.The illustrations are colourful and pretty, and the story has a great flow. Kids will love reading this out loud at bedtime or storytime.It has a nice message to it, and I think this is a good children's book.

I loved the presentation and the pictures. Want to come back to this book again. Loved the pictures of mother and child together.

It is not often that one meets a book in which everything is perfect - the story, how it’s written, illustrations, activities - everything. What’s most important, it is so warm, it made us smile and hug at the end. I suspect it will be our favorite now!
