I am a amateur radio operator that mostly uses FT 8 digital mode. I had a nasty ground loop that would freeze my computer and transceiver only on 20 meters. I installed this usb isolator and so far everything is working as it should. I don't have much hair on the topside due to the frustration of trying to fix the problem....If your a ham and have the same problem I would suggest you try this prior to banging your head against the bulkhead...73's W7USM

Needed to isolate the USB of a computer from a Ham radio for an Echolink install. Was not sure if it would actually work or not. It did. This is installed between a digirig and the computer. Worked great.

Received the USB-ISO-3 just over a week ago. Upon initial evaluation and teardown, I had a question about a specification. CommFront technical support addressed my query quickly and completely leaving me with no doubt that as I progress in my project, if there is anything they can do to make sure I get the very best from their product and service…they will do it. As stated, I did a teardown. Component selection, PCB, and wire harness assembly were all first rate. ted

Unlike the cheaper product I ordered first. This unit works as advertised and solved my problems with ground loops and / or RF in my ham shack. No more device manager dropping connections to my ham radio.
