Good stand
I purchased the Elgato Wave 3, so naturally wanted to get this arm stand for it. It clamps onto my desk and doesn't loosen up. Works nicely overall. I've encountered no issues with it and am happy with this product. It has a good range of flexibility and can even reach to my head height if I decide to record while standing up.

Quality
Very good build quality. Strong springs and easy to move around after setup. Installing Wave 3 was also easy.

I really am not sure now why I thought this would be a great investment. It's of decent quality but, of the two arms that we have, these do not properly grip the desks. The surfaces are clean, and it doesn't matter how tightly you turn them, they will gravitate to one side eventually. I hardly use mine and have had to resort to putting foam under it to get it to stay still and not dig into my desk underneath. My son uses his all day and night long and somehow his stays better but still wobbles. A wider, more low profile base would improve this greatly.

Holding the Mic, With Your Hand, Is Better
Fell into the trap of, "others purchased this item with your purchase"! What an incredibly awful product that is extremely uncomfortable to use and literally makes using a microphone, a relatively painless endeavor, laborious. Save your money and just get anything else! This thing barely moves at all and literally feels like it can't even grasp on to the desk.

Good started arm
I got this arm to help my mic be closer when I stream as I have a soft voice. I am very pleased with how it holds up and it’s a little rigid in movement but that means it’s not gonna bend out of place at the slightest nudge. The only reason I say a good mic arm for starting out is I know it’s not one of those fancy ones that will turn all directions. This one only has up and down and left and right so just be prepared for that.😁

Works as advertised
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Works as advertised for the Elgato wave 3. Needs to be reconstructed with a little puzzle work but i got it to work at the end.

Very easy to setup, it’s a good starting point and when tightened it doesn’t move an inch or shake on my desk
