A good, affordable option for at-home shipping
I don’t have a ton of experience with label printers, nor do have I owned one before buying this product. All I was looking for was a reliable way to print labels for when I need to return online purchases or ship things to people. I knew that I wanted a thermal printer since I would be printing infrequently, and I’ve had issues with ink printers before since the ink would dry out from not printing with them for months at a time.Installing the drivers from the manufacturer’s website was a quick and simple process, though the product does also include a disc if you want to go that route. Installing everything on Windows 10 was fairly quick and easy, although it did require a bit of configuration to get everything set up, which I was expecting beforehand. The included instructions do an okay job at explaining the entire process, but I would recommend searching for the manual on the manufacturer’s website since it offers more details and includes helpful pictures to guide you through it. With that being said, if you’re not the most technically savvy person in the world, you may want to get some help with setting things up initially.I printed some test sheets, and although I was initially worried since the test prints seemed to show faded ink on one half of the label, it turns out that this was only a problem with the test prints. Once I started printing some real shipping labels, the print quality turned out to be excellent. I don’t know if this is because of a setting on my computer or something else entirely, but everything ended up working out well in the end. The printer is fast, and the included perforated teeth are a nice touch if you aren’t using perforated labels (like the ones that come included with the printer). Overall, I’m quite satisfied with how this printer performs and for the price, I think it’s a good option for shipping things from home.

Excellent results for the price
Overall I’m really satisfied with the results. The left label was printed with IDPRT and the right one with a zebra printer. The IDPRT results aren’t as dark as Zebra’s but it delivered great results for what you pay. Setting the darkness to 15 on your printer settings will get the darker results possible. The driver was easy to install even though the website took forever to load. Remember to hold the feed button after you load the labels for the machine to start fresh and the sensor to adjust your labels. I recommend playing with the settings to get better printing results.

Great Printer - Exactly What I Needed!
This printer has saved me so much time and effort that after just a dozen labels I think it has paid for itself. I use this with an older Macbook Air and have no issues with print quality. I sell a lot on FB marketplace and the way I receive labels is via PDF. I do have to take a screenshot and print from Preview, but it doesn't take much time and I don't have to waste a full sheet of paper or tape. I am very happy with my purchase and should have bought it sooner.

Good product for the price
Overall I am very happy with this printer, but it took me a little while to get to this point. When I first downloaded and installed the driver for Windows I didn't receive any of the screens that the instructions said I would - all I got was a quick flash on the screen like something loaded and then disappeared. After a few tries and no luck I tried installing the driver directly from the command prompt, this is when I found an error was occurring. I reached out to tech support and they told me to install the Seagull version instead. After installing that I finally got the screens that the instructions said I would; from there I was good to go.However, then the print quality was awful. Test pages (printed from the separate Utility download) looked great, but my actual prints from PirateShip were pixelated and blurry. The trick was to open the Printer Preferences ("print using system dialog">"preferences">"graphics") and change the quality from Halftone to None. That removed the pixelation and cleaned up the blurriness. I will say, it's still not as sharp as I would like, but for the price I paid I am more than pleased.

Easy installation and setup!
Following the directions in the box, I installed the Mac print driver from the manufacturer website. It was super easy and installed quickly. It's important to note the printer only works for me when connected to the computer with USB, and it comes with a small starter roll of labels. The printer is also larger than I expected, but I don't mind the size. I definitely recommend it especially for the price!

Buyer Beware!
This printer is a desk space hog. The printer is easily twice the size it needs to be considering all the unused volume inside the label compartment even when loading the largest available labels. The label spool is supported on a loosely fit plastic beam without guides to keep it centered resulting in the labels coming off the side of the spool, making a tangled mess. There are no specific Windows 11 drivers and the drivers provided do not work on Win 11 systems. The drivers will install on a Win 10 system, however, the label composing software that must be downloaded from the iDPRT website is flagged by Norton 360 as virus laden and the download is blocked. There is a web based label composing app on the iDPRT website that does work but of course you must be on the internet to use it and it must be reconfigured upon each use. The iDPRT software is just second rate junk. The software transposes the common understanding of such terms as width, height, portrait, and landscape. Obviously coded by a non-native English speaker. Finally, the printer often goes into a fault mode (red LED lit) after printing multiple label copies for no apparent reason. This requires cycling the power to reset the machine, but that also resets the settings to the default settings with the wonky terminology. After many hours trying to get the hardware and software working correctly I finally decided it really wasn't worth the effort and sent the printer and the supply of labels back for a refund. Save yourself some grief. Don't buy this printer.
