A rake is used to clean up the compound or metal from the buffing wheel. This set includes the metal rake along with the wooden handle. It is important to use caution when handling this as the teeth are somewhat aggressive & sharp! The rakes last a very long time. Rakes are often times used when too much compound is applied to the buffing wheel which causes the buff to harden and burn.

Poor design, showed up rusty!
Awful rake... do yourself a favor and spend the extra $5 on the Zephyr one! Showed up rusty, the through bolts are not counter sunk so it does not sit flat and the handle is too thick/not ergonomic...

It is solid and will do what it is supposed to do. What I can't believe an knocked stars for is condition it was in when I received it! The handle had a sgnificant cosmetic knick, one of the bolts was out and rolling around in the package, and there was rust on the blade! None of these objections will affect the performance, but come on.... if that is what I wanted I woild have searched for a used buffing wheel rake.

Rusty
Rake arrived covered in rust. This is the second item I have received from Renegade Products that was rusty. They seem to have issues.

The works like its should, however the metal rack did show up rusty and bolts where hand tight at best.

Works great Don’t leave it in water otherwise it will rust it’s basically like bear iron
