great! if you use the correct side
despite the other bad review stating they they are not very strong it issue has to due with which side you use. one side is definitely stronger than the other. i printed p-touch labels and stuck them to one side in order to apply labels to a new black rolling tool box. unfortunately i assumed being a magnet that it didn't matter which side i used. I choose wrong. the magnet was barely strong enough to over power to natural curve from being in a roll. so i tried again. reprinting all the labels and placing them on the other side. now they are more the plenty strong they don't move at all and the job wonderfully. just make sure that you use the correct side and aren't trying to hold something that magnet of this type isn't intended to hold and you won't have any problems.

Perfect size for my need
This was for a 1" H shelf face. Although preferred, I've found 1" magnetic tape not the best choice as it uses the full height of the shelf face, and is easily disturbed when moving items on the shelf, causing the magnet to fall off. This tape was 3/4" H, leaving enough room above and below the magnet to prevent it from being disturbed when moving items on or off the shelf. It is ideal for printing stick on shelf labels and sticking to the magnet. Choosing the right fonts (they varied), allowed for two lines per label that were easily read. I did not want to stick labels directly to the shelves leaving residue if removed. I cut this into 3 to 4 inch lengths to fit the appropriate shelf identifications and worked out great. Anyone complaining about strength of the magnet probably is not using this for the intended purpose - it sticks and stays well. Best of all, it was a great value compared to others

Handy way to attach mosquito netting to a vehicle while camping. Hold just fine.

JUNK!!! Musty Mildew Odor, zero magnetic power
JUNK!!! This magnetic tape is useless, unable to stick to anything magnetic. Also, buyer beware, there was some type of foam in the internal packing that was completely “dry rotted” and disintegrated while opening. Not only did it make a mess but gave off the smell of musty mildew (although I did not see mildew, the odor was strong); regretted not opening outdoors but biggest regret was buying!

One side is magnetic
Thank you to all of the reviewers who pointed out that only one side is magnetic. One side has two ridges indented in it and the other does not, making it easy to distinguish one side from the other. Cut a length of magnet and try sticking it to the refrigerator, if it slides down, the side touching the refrigerator is the non-magnetic side and won't work as a magnet. On my order, the side with 2 grooves is the non-magnetic side. Also this will not work as a sandwich with a piece of magnetic metal, the non-magnetic side will have to be glued. I'm using this strip to hang Megulla rechargeable lithium lights under the kitchen counters. If I had paid attention and measured first, 3/4" would have been a better choice, but I have had zero problems with the magnet being too weak. I'm using a thin line of Gorilla Glue and taping in place while the glue sets and that's working great to bond to the cheap particle board under the cabinets where the self-adhesive strips that came with the lights just fell off.

Good light duty magnetic strip.
This is not a high power magnetic material but does the job for applications where a strong magnet is not needed. It held paper notices to refrigerator just fine. The price is very reasonable and delivery was very prompt. Recommended for light duty work.

Adheres well to my minivan
After reading other reviews from people who used this for camping purposes,weI decided to give it a try. We wanted to use our van as a camper with the tailgate open. We used mosquito netting to draped over the open tailgate using these magnetic strips to adhere it to the van body. We also used window screen material on the outside of the side door windows using the magnetic strips as well. It worked great. My husband and I prepared everything in advance, cutting the magnet strips and netting, so that when we got to the campground we were able to set up quickly. It was faster than setting up a tent and the magnetic strips stayed put throughout our entire camping trip. When we took the van on a side trip, removing the magnets and netting was simple and setting back up at the campground was quick. We plan to do more camping around the country using this method. Our minivan becomes a mini-camper in a few simple steps.

Nice for labeling tool box
was used for labeling toolbox, I used 3/4" labels, if you are careful, stickers go on the grooved side

Magnets are not very strong. I have used them on curtain panels for a curtain type install. They wouldn't hold with the material between the magnets and the metal. I adjusted my design and then it worked.
