Color Oops Extra Strength Color Remover

I dyed my hair Amethyst and while it was fun, it was not a good color for me. I bought the extra strength version of oops and viola! My hair is ready to color again. My already white hair when back to white while my brownish grey turned this orange blond. Very happy

I used this to remove a faded semi-permanent purple/burgundy ombre. I used two boxes because I have thick curly hair. My hair color when I started was faded by about 3 months. This product removed most of the remaining color down to the bleached state it was in before, and evened out the tone so that I could dye it again the same day. I wouldn't say it left my hair feeling more moisturized, but it doesn't feel damaged like when I bleach it. It has a terrible sulphur odor though that will definitely last all day even after a double shampoo. I would use this again to strip my color as long as my hair was already bleached enough underneath.

This stuff is the best when pulling color out red is a very hard color to pull out and I have tried everything but this out it out

The smell isn’t overwhelming at all, definitely dries your hair quite a bit, does better at bringing colors back out than it does removing it. If you’re going to use this definitely get more than one box though. Not sure I’d recommend honestly.

I love this product. I dyed my hair a bright red from the box during covid. It was horrible and ugly. I hated it. This worked wonders. It took all the bright red out.

I'm going to just publicly apologize to my hair because I was very abusive and dyed it THREE times in a week with PERMANENT dye with the grand finale of black cherry to try to cover it all and be done with it. I'm sorry, hair. So, we are at 3 dyes and I'm just not happy because I never wanted black but it was the only way I thought I could fix it. I have used color oops before with great results so I decided to go that route and see if my hair would just fall out of my head. Surprisingly it doesn't seem to be too damaged after the while ordeal. I used a hair cap during processing like it says to do and made sure not to go past 20 minutes. You have to shampoo then keep rinsing for 20 minutes, shampoo and rinse for 5, shampoo and rinse for 5 then soak your hair in really good conditioner. I think I left the conditioner in for 20 min, rinsed, conditioned again just for 2 min and rinsed with cold water and used a leave-in after towel drying. It was a very time consuming process but if you follow all of the steps and are kind to your hair, you will probably be ok. Yeah, it smells really bad but the smell doesn't linger too strong in your hair. I have an eye exam tomorrow and I'm not worried about them smelling my hair. Anyway, long story short, it worked with minimal damage but was a lot of rinsing. Good luck!
