I have a huge bag of the metal hooks (Bates brand) that I have been using for decades but they got temporarily packed away. I ordered these to finish a project- they were inexpensive so not expecting much- pleasantly surprised - the handle is very comfortable to hold and the hook doesn’t split my yarn - worth the price - would expand my collection if I didn’t already have multiples of every size. Highly recommend for anyone who doesn’t want to spend a fortune but wants a quality product

I love these!! Attractive, sturdy and a great variety of sizes. They feel comfortable in my hand when I am using them. Nice smooth metal.

I really like this. They are very comfortable to use and the pattern and colors are beautiful. Only thing I don't like is how they skipped the 4 mm. Went from 4.5 mm to 3.75 mm. And all the size below that are odd sizes. 4 mm is one that gets used alot and they just left it out. I just don't understand why they leave one of the most used sizes.

I love my Crochet hooks, not only are they are at a great price, but they also are very comfortable to use and pretty also. I especially appreciate how smooth they feel, I literally crochet faster.

The letters and numbers for the size of each hook wears off after a very short amount of use. I made only six small coasters and one potholder with the blue one and you cannot see the the letter h and the fire is starting to wear off already. I got through one standard skein of yarn before the letter and numbers started wearing off of the red one which is letter h as you can see the age is no longer visible pretty much. The the letters and numbers should be etched in and then filled in with a color like white or black depending on the hook color. As soon as I discovered just now what happened, you can see the numbers in the pictures but you cannot see the letters. The letters are what I usually go by. Now I have to write down the numbers and letters for each hook based on the color of the top part of the hook and keep the list in the bag with the hooks. I love the colors the style. The design and everything else about them are great. They work very well. Very smooth and they are not too smooth that they slip right out of the the stitches as you pull on the yarn. They're not so stiff that they're hard to use. I love the fact that the handles are pretty much a universal size for the most part. There is a very slight variation in size of the smaller size hooks but not drastic like most brands. The larger hook sizes are not huge and fat either also is good. I don't have to try and get used to multiple handle sizes which is what I need for my hands YouTube the strength issues and pain issues I have with my hands. BUT, the huge downfall of this product is the fact that the numbers and letters for the hook sizes and letter sizes are wearing off after a very short time of use of the hooks. As I said with the blue one which is letter h, I only did SIX small coasters and a pot holder and as you can see in the picture the "H" is already worn off. Fix this problem and it would be a perfect product! The price is just right for the fanciness of the design on the handles and different colors for each hook size the letters and numbers were etched into the metal and then filled in with a color to make them easy to read so that they don't wear off so quickly

These hooks are so comfortable in my hand not to mention how pretty they are!

I took a punt because I liked the look of these hooks and needed a set of back-ups - I figured the price was worth taking a chance on. The hooks arrived in good condition - they’re exactly as shown in the picture. The handle is made of polymer clay and is ergonomic insofar as it makes the crochet hook handle thicker and therefore easier to grip. It’s not shaped to fit thumb/finger grip as some ergonomic polymer clay handles are, but that may actually work in their favour as I know some more shaped handles don’t suit all grip types (ie: only suit pencil-grip or only suit knife grip) whereas a simple cylindrical handle suits any grip. For the price I cannot fault these hooks. I have (much) more expensive hooks which are, maybe, a little smoother on the yarn or which are more ergonomically shaped but these hooks do the job perfectly well and are ideal for throwing in my bag when I’m on the go as I don’t need to worry about them getting broken (they’re v robust) or lost (they’re bright enough that I can find them at the bottom of my bag and cheap enough that they could be replaced if worst came to the worst. Maybe I was lucky as, judging by other reviews, not everyone had the same experience but I’m glad I took a gamble on these hooks - I may well buy more as a gift for other crocheting friends.
