I have a glass table. I tried another design that was silicone, but it did not do the trick. This one does, because it has the locking collar that fits snugly from the bottom. So far it has held up and has not degraded in the sun - like the original.

Works great as a replacement for our patio table. Fit immediately and threaded on easily contrary to some other reviews.

Table opening exactly 2 inches. This fit well. Screwed right together - 30 second install. Yes, hard plastic, which will probably fail sometime. Original part failed after ten years, will be happy to get that with this replacement.

The hole in my table is about 2 1/4 inches, not 2 inches, so I had to order this style plug because I could not find a hole plug that size of the actual hole. This one came quickly and when I installed it, it was a little loose for the hole, but when I screwed on the bottom ring tightly, it fits snugly in place. It seems like it will work well enough, and may even be better than the average snap in hole plug due to its length for holding the umbrella pole. The color was perfect also, it matches the color of the metal on table and chairs. So, I am happy with the product.

I’m pretty pleased with us. We are about a week in. I saw a review that said it fits a 2 1/4 inch table hole, and I will verify that it seems to be true. It seems sturdy in there, like it’s not going to slip out of the hole. We have a heavy umbrella with only poles – no base. Our table has a hole in the glass top, and then 2 underneath that at varying levels. I was concerned about the glass breaking, because the holes are slightly bigger than the umbrella, so the umbrella a tilted. I wanted to get something to give the glass top a little more support. It really has made a difference, and I assume it will help to protect the tabletop. It does lean slightly, but is definitely better. (And I tend to be too picky/perfectionistic sometimes.) Don’t know how it will hold up in the hot sun, but it’s cheap enough that we could replace next year if needed.
