No they do not make noise when they are spinning however when it is really windy they sometimes bang on the house a little. I really enjoy watching them as they are very pretty and mesmerizing. I got them hoping they would scare away the woodpeckers that are destroying my house but they must think they are pretty too as they land right next to them & peck away! Hope this helps you:)
