Perfect fit 1995 Harley Davidson
Exact replacement for stock voltage regulator that had failed. Long, thick coated wire back to fuse. Stator plug fit perfectly. Would have been nice to provide crimp on terminal ends. This unit does require a ground connection vs the stock unit that didn’t. Successful ground using voltage regulator mounting bolt. Unit instantly provide 14 VDC to battery.

works as it should

More and more consistent voltage
I replaced my factory regulator because I suspected it was allowing random voltage spikes. This one charges better (more voltage at low RPM, more consistent voltage at a given RPM), and now my headlight doesn't dim at all when idling.

Got a bad one and it does happen
Got the whole 32amp kit stator, flywheel and VR. Voltage regulator lasted one day then not charging, VR is going back to the shop where I bought the kit from.

Worked exactly as it was supposed it. Only difference ...
Worked exactly as it was supposed it. Only difference was a ground lead that had to be connected to a point on the frame where the original was grounded by then mounting point.

It was packed well and in perfect condition. It went on easy
It came to me in less time than I expected. It was packed well and in perfect condition. It went on easy, wired up simple, and my bike is now back to charging the battery and on the road again. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Nice piece.
This unit doesn't get hot. I have over 14 volts now. I didn't hook up the ground wire. I put it on my 1990 Harley FXR.

rectifier/regulator Compufire
Part was great however the wire leads comming from the rectifier were shorter than the original . A slight modification was nessisary to lengthen the stator plug.
