Good tool
I dry walled my first ceiling recently in my garage and it came out pretty good. this dry wall lift was a great purchase for me because i am a retired guy who could work on my project a little at a time , no time frame ,so renting one could have been costly. This lift worked great for me , it was easy to put together, and rolled with ease. i thought it was priced well and would recommend

Read this before buying !
First of all this unit is great but here's where you should follow what I did to get better results. 1st thing is buy velcro and cover the screws that stick out on top with the soft part of the velcro and discard the other half. This will let your boards slide nice and not mark them , my first 2 boards got scratched good maneuving it into position. 2nd thing is make sure you lock your wheels when putting the board on it , I never used a lift before and my first board I didn't lock the wheels (I know ....stupid move) and broke my board when the lift slid off on me. Other than that this thing is awesome I hung 4x12 drywall on the ceilings with it by myself and it was super easy to use and adjust , I feel it will handle 16 foot boards too although I haven't tried yet. It's built well and a breeze to put together, I didn't use the mdf platform this just makes it faster to put together, but stability without them I feel wasn't an issue . Now that you read my rant , go buy it you won't be disappointed! I should have bought one many years ago ...thanks for reading hope this helps.

More stable than I expected. Very good value.
I like the 4-leg design of this, as it seems more stable. I also like that you get a low working table at the base when not lifting drywall. This works well, though the cable did initially slip off the pulley near the crank - probably during shipping. I started cranking the first time and found it was binding. But after popping out the offending pulley and getting the cable into the proper location, it worked flawlessly. It costs about $36 per day to rent one of these, so if you are going to use it for a week, buying this is worth it. You can probably sell used it afterward.

Easy to assemble and use, but sometimes questionable.
I rarely write reviews, but figured for this lift I would.Let me first start by saying I’m not a contractor or drywall guy in the slightest. This lift however, made hanging the ceiling drywall in my garage so much easier without the strain of having to lift the sheets up ourselves. I still wouldn’t trust this lift by myself and would want an additional helper.I did a 20x20 ceiling that’s 5/8” drywall, if you load the drywall perfectly center on the lift it still is a little wobbly while going up. If you’re like me and love to do sketchy stuff, you can load it completely off center and pray while lifting it up into the edges of the ceiling. At ~$225 it’s not a bad deal, just understand it’s not the most sturdy or solid lift out there. However, if you’re somewhat careful and have a helper you will be fine. Your body will also thank you.

Worked Great
I used this to drywall my 24 by 24 Garage, it handled 5/8 by 4 by 12 foot sheets of fire rated drywall with ease. I'm 68 years old and did the job myself.I bought this instead of renting so I could take my time in doing the job.I never had any problems with this host, not even a little problem. The drywall I used could be loaded off the floor on to the lift with ease by doing one end at a time, just lock the wheels.I also did the Walls with ease.....You can't go wrong with this lift....it's easy to move around loaded and easy to assemble and dissemble when needed. The cost is a little more than most and cheaper than others but as home owner it worked GREAT for me.

Defective and impossible to return, Amazon didn’t help me either
The seller did never send the prepaid label for the return and Amazon didn’t fix the issue either, they wanted me to pay again for the return and then after the seller receives it then I would have to send the receipts and pictures and proves that I have sent it back and then they said that they will refund me the expenses but I was not willing to pay double the shipping to see if they will refund me or not, worst experience ever.

Just a life saver!
I had to re- rock my entire Den ceiling after a leak. I am 60 years old but at any age it would be an impossible job for a one person …. Until this little gem! Without bothering friends or son-in-law this machine enabled me to do it myself at my own pace. Just a fantastic invention! For a couple hundred bucks well worth it. When I’m done I’ll resell it for half that.No assembly just 3 parts that slip into one another. Super easy to break down and store if you do choose also. And super easy to use. I was really impressed with this thing.

Great for the price
A life saver, i love this thing very much. There was a huge water damaged on the ceiling down the basement and i called a few contractor to fix it but they ask me for $3500 and up to repair the damage, however after doing some research my husband decided to give this drywall lift a try, and turn out it was the best decision we have made.
