This is a pretty sturdy fixture made out of plastic, but does not have a ground connection. No wire nuts are needed as the terminals have screws for installation. I was required to punch out the inside mounting tabs in order to mount it to my ceiling, the existing tabs were too wide, but they popped out pretty easily. I installed a light I got off of Amazon into it that has 5 LED lights on it, 1 downward facing and 4 side panels that adjust, and now my office is really bright! Great purchase for a Cheap Price!

Replaced a ceramic fixture that cracked when I was replacing a bulb. This is inexpensive and did the job. Perfect for a garage or basement. All I wanted was a basic and simple light and that’s what I got. I’ve had to remove this a few times to do wiring and it goes right back up with little fuss. Best thing is I don’t have to worry about it cracking by over tightening.

This is a great product for the price. I knocked off a star for sturdiness because I had one of the screw mounts break and another one had the metal prong come loose after 14 AWG wire was put in place. At this price point though I can't complain much. They perform well.

Installed in my Mom's garage for a 3 led light. Works great.

It only fits the octagonal box, not the square, as one reviewer said. Also, If you want to mount it flush on a wall or ceiling, you need to cut a notch in it for the wire to enter the side. I would, if needed, use a Dremel with a rotary file, as I have one. And, the 4 connection screws( 2 each wire)are best used for #14 or smaller wire. You can make a hook or figure S for securing them, unless you are connecting an additional light past this one. Finally, these are NOT ceramic, so I wouldn't run more than 100 or so watts thru them as they may overheat.....but I'm just speculating. I am using them for 100 watt LED ceiling lights.

in comparison with similar ones I already own, this one is pretty basic and low quality. the screw kept pushing out my curled wires even when inserting the correct direction. Other brands seem to grip them better.

I bought this instead of going to my local hardware store because they were only selling the porcelain equivalent.I'm writing due to some miss information from other reviews. I am NOT an electrician.First, This is a normal UL listed Lamp holder for the US. Normal screws are used as seen in the picture attached as one asked for what the backside looked like. Not sure why some are talking about flat screws. I'm thinking here they don't know to bend wires around the screws (Side note, if you don't know that it matters which way the wires should be bent around the screws, call a professional!).Second, Lights like these do not come with a ground!! This again is normal and the ground is on the light switch itself. If you think that a "green" screw is a "neutral", don't be doing your own wiring call a professional! You don't know what you are doing and will either hurt yourself, use the wrong size wiring, and/or cause a fire! Call a professional!!

Easy to wire I love that it's not metal so it's lightweight easy to handle perfect for the job I needed
