Note that the 3-pack has been more expensive than ordering 3 single socks. Yes, they are like $10+ apiece...actually not expensive compared to a lot of running socks, and they do last a long time.

What size sock for a woman’s 91/2 shoe?

Large corresponds with typical men's size shoe sizes. I wear 8 1/2 B women's shoe and can wear either Medium or Large because these are quite stretchy. Mediums will look tiny after washing, but stretch out to work for me but kind of at the limit. Husband wears men's 8 C shoe and he has no problem with Large. My best recommendation is that if in doubt Large would be better choice than Medium because the material is not something that bunches up in shoes.
