Good value
I have had my trimmer for many years now and it works great! Battery was not lasting as long as it used to so that is why I purchased another. The old one still works...so it is great to charge it while the other is being used. Nice not to have to use a gas or electric trimmer. Good value for price. I hope to continue using for many years to come.

So satisfied, great product
I am so delighted with the new battery, actually I think this one keeps the charge lot better than the one that came with the blower. I love the blower, it is light, easy to use on the sidewalk and patios, don't have to drag out the big blower. Have bought one for one of my daughters and I'm thinking of buying another one for another daughter. I have had it for 3 years, first time I had to order a new charger. .I would recommend this to all my friends.

Good, but the Lithium Ion version was so much better.
The NiCad version of this battery pack does what it's supposed to do, but the lithium ion version was so much better. Now, it seems that the lithium ion version is no longer available. It gave full power right up to self-shutdown and lasted longer on a charge than the NiCad. In contrast, the NiCad starts at full speed but eventually slows down until it's unusable, and it's running time on a full charge is much shorter than the lithium ion version. Also, the NiCad takes much longer to recharge than the lithium ion.

Better than the original
I bought this to replace the battery in my EarthWise leaf blower, and was pleasantly surprised to find that it runs longer on a charge than did the original battery that came with the blower (which I think I bought at Home Depot). It also charges more quickly. Of course, remains to be seen how long (months or years) it holds up. The original didn't last much longer than a year, but I have high hopes for this one...

Works but not for long.
Disappointed that both the battery that came with the leaf blower and this s replacement battery didn't last very long at all. I dumped it and am going to try B n D for my next purchase.

Batteries used with trimmer - love the trimmer, wish batteries could be better
I've had the Earthwise string trimmer since 2011. I use it more as an edger than a trimmer around the lawn/pavement and a lot of landscaping & beds. The original battery that came with it didn't last very long when fully charged so I purchased a second battery right away. The second was markedly stronger and lasted longer with a charge too. Up until about 2 years ago I was using both batteries. The weaker one when I just had a small really quick job such as every-other-mow in months when it's drier and there isn't much growth to trim anyway and the stronger one as much as tri-weekly in spring and fall. For the past two years I have only been using the second battery because the original was just finally so laughably puttering. Well my second battery has now "bit it". This spring I noticed it running out more and more quickly, progressively getting worse with each mow. And last night it died within about 2 minutes of use. I suppose ~6 years of seasonal use is pretty long for a NiCad. I'm hoping the two I just ordered last as long. But these seem to in no way last as long as lithium ion rechargeable batteries such as the ones I have for cordless drills and saws. Although, when I think about it, that's probably because the tools themselves are more efficient and I don't drill or saw 3 times per week for half the year either. The other drawback to NiCad is you absolutely have to let the battery run to zero before charging. If you recharge a NiCad at a partial use point regularly that will lead to it losing voltage at that recharge point - i.e. getting weak fast! When these new batteries are delivered the first thing I will do is run both down to dead if they don't arrive that way. I really really really like this trimmer-edger so I'm willing to deal with having to replace the battery packs every so often.***UPDATE***Had to cancel my reorder. Product was slated to not even ship until (possibly) late August despite being ordered first week of July. Amazon customer service when emailed confirmed it could take Amazon as long as two months to receive these!!Time to get a new trimmer I guess. Going to try the Black & Decker 40v lithium model lst136 and will review after I've owned it awhile.

Not a long lasting charge
I have a small yard and this battery that I used with the Earthwise Weed Trimmer barely lasted a strong charge when near the end of trimming over about 5 times of use. Then gradually after each use near the end of trimming the battery charge got weaker and weaker that I could not finish trimming the yard with a full charge. I charged the battery until the sensor showed green. And now it will not seem to fully charge. The battery is weak and the trimmer will not run full power to cut the grass. Seemed like this battery was a dud from the get go. And since I am out of the 30 day window, I cannot return this battery and get refund. So I am SOL. Do not buy this battery it does not last.

REALLY GOOD DEAL
Purchased this item along w/a new EarthWise battery charger for my Earthwise hand blower that I purchased in 2012. Had already replaced the battery then discovered I still had problems. Charged my old battery w/the new charger, & everything works fine, so now I just have a new battery in reserve!!!
