Allowed me to mount hydraulic steering pump on backside of Helm. This heavy duty plate on back made the unit very rigid and solidly installed. Nice upgrade.

Know the thickness of your console beforehand and the length of your helm screws. They might not be long enough to use along with this bracket.

Perfect fit for my seastar steering system.

Used to recess the BayStar helm in my console. As the previous hole was pretty large and the helm bolts wouldn't get much purchase. Fixed that issue and also recesses the helm the width of your consoles construction, about 1" in my boat. Clean installation. Best upgrade I've ever done on my boat.

The kit is a very simple product that is easy to install. I used it t allow my helm pump t be recessed to minimize how far the helm assemble stuck out of the dash. My mechanical steering helm face plate protruded about 2 1/2 inches and the new hydraulic helm only protrudes about 3 1/2 inches.
