Q: How's the smell and how long does the smell linger? I'm guessing it's got a menthol-ish smell? Will people smell it or my shave cream?

The odor of menthol does not last. It’s refreshing going on & the scent is gone before you’re out the door....this is NOT a shave cream.

Q: can i use this on my face?

I use it often on my face with no problem It is actually refreshing and softens my skin. Good penetration.
