De-Icer Controller, Briidea De-Ice Control Box Automatically Turn On and Off Your 120V De-Icer, Adjustable Temperature Settings for Dock Pond Lake

I’ve only had this for a few weeks and it hasn’t really been cold enough to really put it through the test. But setting it around 20 degrees, it has activated my de-icer a couple of times. I think it will do the job nicely this winter.

The thermostat is accurate and comes on and off as it should.

The thermostat seems to be well made and function on/off OK, but the dial appears to be way off. Perhaps the dial can be adjusted--for now I just set it to come on by guessing the setting for freezing temperatures.

Using this to power a heater in a wellhouse. Simple and not electronic. Turns off about four degrees above the selected turn on temp.

I faced it to the south so if it was sunny deicer wouldn't run during day won't flawlessly

I set the temperature for 30 degrees. It did not turn off at 40 degrees so I unplugged it. Tonight it was 35 degrees outside so I plugged it in and immediately the roof wire turned on. As it turns out the dial is wrong. It activated at 20 degrees on the dial. There is no way to adjust adjust the dial.

The temperature control does not work properly. Let’s say you set it to get active when the temperature is 30 C, you will find it active when temperature is 38.
