Horrid Henry: Horrid Henry Annual 2017 Hardcover – December 20, 2016

My 7yr old son loved these books. I found Henry's behavior rather horrid (which was indeed suggested in the title) but the consequences he faced were accurate and my son was hollering with laughter as he devoured these books and discussed the main characters bad behavior and ideas. It contains typical. Mildly crude humor and seems to be the equivalent of Junie B. Jones for boys.

This series make me laugh.It inspired me to read more and i recommend this book to 7 to 12 year olds.Its a very good book

I really liked when HH and MM played Captain Hook. What was funny is when they had to eat Glop. I really liked when they went on a camping trip.By CCHM 6 years.

My son found this series on OverDrive - he likes it and thinks it's a fun series to read. Quick reads. Horrid Henry causes his brother Perfect Peter all sorts of problems when he behaves properly for a change, upstages Peter at a dance recital, plays pirates, and goes on a camping trip.This is an accelerated reader book. I'm always looking for interesting AR books for my children to read since they have to have so many points every grading period. (AR) reading level 3.3 - AR Pts: 1.0

Don't do what I did. Don't fall in love with Horrid Henry books and expect THIS one to be anything new. This was released in 1995 with this cover, and then again in 2009 with a blue cover and Henry wearing a pirate hat. It is exactly the same book, word for word. I was thrown by the words 'and Other Stories' - there are NO new stories in here. Buy the newer one unless you're a collector and simply must have every single edition of the Horrid Henry series!

My 7 year old and I have read hundreds of kids books together as she's grown up. From The Gruffalo and Winnie the Witch to Harry Potter, Roald Dahl's books, The Naughtiest Girl and The Worst Witch Series. This has to be the absolute worst kids book series we've ever come across. It's eye bleedingly dull to read aloud, full of boring hackneyed plot devices, and populated by one dimension cardboard characters. The characterisation is unbelievably sexist; boys are generally fun or self assured, girls are either bossy and annoying or timorous and weak. I'm staggered that it's written by a women. I'm dismayed. There are innumerable cringeworthy, petulant dialogue arguments that go on for what seems like an eternity, in a "Did so" "did not" fashion. The main character is a charmless irritant, with absolutely no apparent personality, and his naughtiness isn't even funny enough to redeem him. Roald Dhal it 'ain't, it's not even David Walliams level. I'm staggered.

I can honestly say my daughter loves the collection of books I purchase for her.These books are no different.... easy reading especially for her age (7) if you have a young enthusiast reader these will keep them busy and entertained for a good while.The price and quality are again great value for money.They come in a lovely book “shelf” display.Great present for any Horrid Henry enthusiast!

I have received these books in good packaging, lovely stories in and lightweight for kids hands but not for young kids less than 8 years and not coloring only black and white papers

great gift set for kids who love horrid Henry , the font size is great and easy to read with additional illustrations adding to the fun , only negative the books are tricky to get back into the box for little fingers when new

Great fun short stories for my 8yr to read on his own. He struggles with reading but this has built his confidence
