Very sturdy and popular with our 9 years olds. Easy to control
I like the sturdy construction of this toy and although battery life is not great, the cell can be replaced with a higher capacity version if you look carefully enough on Amazon. Any replacement cell must have the 3-pin plug rather than the more common 2-pin variety.Operating the tractor is very easy. The engine noises and lights can be turned on or off. It beeps realistically when reversing. There are only three things I find fault with. First is the angle of the bucket when dumping a load - it is not quite as acute as the real thing. Secondly, as with nearly all toys of this nature, the vehicle scale speed is far too high and I would like to be able to reduce it by at least 60%. Finally, and again this is common across RC toys, it would be useful to have a battery charging point set into the bodywork to avoid having to take the battery pack out every time it requires a top up. However none of these three minor drawbacks is sufficient to spoil the family's enjoyment of the toy.

A fantastic scale RC front loader, but tiny battery
The media could not be loaded. This is a really nice looking RC construction front loader. It looks fairly proportional to the real thing. The stated scale is 1:16 and, to be fair, it's probably not far off that. Perhaps a little smaller, but not significantly. The body is largely plastic, with some metal parts. This provides a nice balance between weight and sturdiness. This is really easy to control, largely thanks to the controller being marked up with ico s for the buttons; something that isn't on some others in this range. The controller requires 2 AA batteries. As this is only 3v, the range is somewhat limited, but still sufficient for the type of vehicle that this is. The included rechargeable battery is somewhat disappointing. It's a tiny sized measley 400 Mah battery, which the manufacturer claims is "for superb performance which will give you a pleasant 25 min play time on a charge of about 1-2 hours". Whilst this is better than some in the construction range, I feel that they could have done better by including a bigger battery or even 2 so that they can be swapped around. That leads to the next little niggle. To change the battery, the door is underneath. You have to both undo a small screw (using your own screwdriver) as well as a small rotating clip. They would have been better having 2 clips as unscrewing a screw to remove a battery door is a pet hate of mine and takes away from the enjoyment.Control-wise, this is fairly slow, but steers well. The bendy linkage in the middle is a nice, realistic touch and serves the purpose of steering. It also moves forward and backwards. The bucket raises or drops via 2 buttons, but there's no other control over it.In addition, this has realistic sound effects and lights. These are all responsive and perfectly in line with the front loader's functions. The tyres are quite a realistic design and have quite a bit of squash in them, allowing grip on most suitable surfaces.I can definitely recommend this, but please keep in mind the small battery size (you'll have to search Amazon for spares and they're not cheap) and 25 minutes maximum runtime. The batteries are a standard mini RC car connector.

Tonka Toys on steroids! Excellent toy and highly recommended.
The media could not be loaded. Wow, if you remember Tonka Toys, then this vehicle is Tonka Toys on steroids! This is a fabulous toy, robustly made with metal construction, with authentic sound and movement supplied and utilised via the remote control. I have to say we love this in our house, young and old alike! This tractor is very well designed and built. It’s an authentic scaled model and the quality of the build is obvious as soon as you get it out of the box. The functionality is excellent and the remote control is easy to use and responsive (see video). It’s really nice to have a robust sturdy interesting toy that would keep any child interested, not everything needs to be online and/or digital! We are very impressed with this in our household and heartily recommend. It’s £60 that would be well spent I reckon.

A first class toy
The media could not be loaded. A superb toy made with excellent attention to detail & fine materials.I think it's plastic but feels/looks like metal. I normally dislike plastic as it feels/looks tacky/cheap (especially toys) but looks/feels premium, sturdy & well-made. So built is top notch. This is fairly quiet & the light effects are realistic. Going back goes red, forwards white etc. This makes for a very fun experience. This has an in-built battery which is rechargeable but you need 2xAA batteries for remote. It comes in a very nice black box with handle for easy transport. Plus makes it very presentable should you wish to gift it. It'd make a nice Christmas present 🎁It works really well, moves around (back & forth) & the digger manoeuvres really well too. As you can see in the video I've added.Remote works really well & responds well.Worth mentioning they do another one for £150 but I prefer this one as it's much more quiet, lighter, manoeuvrable & generally more fun in my opinion.
