I was thrilled to get this, and it really seemed like the perfect solution to my car stereo replacement. Apple CarPlay made my 2004 Dodge Stratus seem and feel much more modern and I really enjoyed the CarPlay features. I had added a double din with CarPlay in my 98’ F150, and had felt like this was the right choice for my stratus too. Unfortunately, this model is quite defective and has a very big issue. It will turn off and reset at random…. This wasn’t an issue at first. Only appearing once into a 5 hour road trip. But now it will do this glitch quite often on my daily 30 min. to work. Sometimes it will only glitch 1-3 times….. and other times it will go insane and be resetting every 15 seconds for my daily drive. The glitches seems to get worse as time progresses. Warmth might be a factor that causes it to reset. It’s transitioning from cold weather to mid 60’s right now. Gonna be switching back to my factory stereo because I’d rather deal with that than this. Not worth the purchase, not worth the money. Take my advice and actually purchase something that won’t be giving you these issues right out of the box. Not even gonna be returning this unit, gonna make it sit on a shelf and remind me what a bad purchase this was. That lesson is probably the only thing of value gained from this purchase. ***UPDATE*** I’ve changed my review from 2 stars to 4. Customer Service quickly reached out and was very helpful in offering to replace the stereo. Hesitant to do it at the moment because the weather turned colder into mid 40’s-high 50’s and it completely stopped glitching for my current drives. But next week is supposed to be mid 80’s, so that will be the real test to see if heat is a contributing factor. Will update again in 1 1/2 - 2 weeks. ***EDIT*** 05/22/22 Since my last update here I have not had a single glitch. It survived the week of heat, and I had my AC fixed right before the heat started. I think it only glitches in direct relation to being overheated. With the placement of my vents it always gets cool air, and I haven’t had any issues. Overall, it’s a great unit! I’m pleased with the quality, I love the fold in/out feature that makes it look stock or modern. Apple CarPlay is such a nice feature, and I really like it. If you don’t have working AC in your car this may not be the best unit for you due to it easily overheating. But this is a great unit, would recommend. I have upgraded the review to 5 full stars because it’s a nice affordable product and the customer service was completely willing to work with me and replace it at a moments notice. Again, I would recommend this product.

This is my go-to, cheap Android Auto head unit. This is my second unit purchased. Pros: Manual operation 2 USB, Bluetooth 5.0 Nice screen, decent internal amp, backup camera, Mirror Link, MicroSD media player, can install Fermata or Carstream with AAAD, fairly customizable UI. Cons: Has some software bugs. AM/FM radio will sometimes cut out at random, but it doesn't matter since I used bluetooth/AA almost exclusively. A bit chonkier than standard single DIN, but I made it work. Overall, the value per dollar is pretty unreal. I dare you to find something made by a mainstream OEM that will offer this amount of features for the price, it's easy to overlook the minor shortcomings. If you are using this for Carplay/Android Auto, you will probably be more than satisfied. I can even throw a huge SD card in it and have tons of movies for road trips, just wire the parking cable and ground together during install. 9/10 will probably buy again for yet another project car.

I installed it but had to pull it back out to do a test described in the manual. The ground plug fell out of the 18P connector during rework, and I can’t find a source for a replacement. Made my own repair. There was no instruction on how to get the screen out. You must pull it manually. Before purchasing I wanted to know if it would hit my dash and couldn’t tell from the drawings. It hits. I had sound problems and had to rework the antenna amplifier. Phone calls cause a loud squeal on the other end. Still investigating….

Unit seemed decent quality, the UI is snappy and the touchscreen is good enough for my old Subaru. The instructions are in typical broken English but wiring was straight-forward. I have a few issues with the stereo. First, it's slightly wider than standard single-din, so my factory trim piece that fits the stereo and the climate controls doesn't fit around it. I was considering trimming the trim ring to fit the stereo. But then the second problem. The stereo won't turn off. At first I thought I may have accidentally bridged the ACC and B+ wires or maybe have a problem with my car wiring. I cut the ACC wire and the unit stayed on. This should not happen as the ACC wire is what tells the stereo to power off with the key/ignition. I even checked my wiring with a multi-meter and everything is correct on my car. The seller has been communicating with me but is starting to annoy me with repeated requests to send photos and try different wiring configurations. It's pretty simple - 3 wires needed B+ Yellow, ACC (+) to Red and Black to Negative Ground (-). I was considering giving it a second chance thinking I got a dud but it now seems the seller is dragging it out, probably to exceed the return window. With CarPlay and a nice big screen it seemed too good for this price and the age-old saying holds - you get what you pay for and this thing probably wouldn't have lasted more than a month even if it hadn't arrived broken.

I was looking for a nice radio for my old pick up and this was by far the best option. Im an old school type of guy and this goes along with it just fine. It's no automatic screen so there's no having to wait for the screen to pull in or out. You can cruise with the screen tucked in or pull it out and use the very nice interface. It's not as pricey as other options but the quality surpasses it. Although it would be nice if the camera came with the license plate mounting bracket. I would've also liked if they replaced the mute button with a pause/play button instead. It's a streaming radio so it would make more sense. Just about a year later, the radio is no longer up to my expectations. The touch screen interface has stopped working. Won't let me access settings, wouldn't let me set a wallpaper anyways. The radio randomly started to restart the songs and then rewinding a couple of tracks. I pulled to screen out to see if it had anything to do with the touch screen interface but the problem just kept reoccurring.
