This steamer has a larger reservoir than others I have had. It also puts out more steam than the others. The optional fabric brush works well to remove loose items from the fabric. The cord has a pivoting ball connection to the unit which helps reduce wear and allows for more fluid movement. While I cannot speak to longevity, I am very happy with the performance.

The Chi steam iron is a gift from the gods. Hands down far better than an iron and an ironing board. Keep the garment on a hanger. I tend to use the shower rod or a door frame. It takes a few minutes, but it is so worth it. There is no risk of burning or melting your clothes. You don't iron in wrinkles. Just pass the item under the material and like MAGIC the wrinkles are gone! ALSO, I have super curly hair. Some days I use the steamer to "refresh" my curls. Turn it on and sit in on the counter, turn my head upside down and [ass my curls through the steam! Viola! Fresh, new, bouncy curls! This thing is worth every penny. I loathe ironing. This steamer makes it so easy to get rid of wrinkles. It's hand held and not very big at all. I take it when I travel so I am wrinkle free world wide!

As a professional drapery installer in Palm Beach, FL. I use a steamer quite regularly. This steamer has lasted 1 year so far and still going strong. Does a great job with the draperies and I like that I can tip it over and steam bed skirts and no spilling.

Works pretty good. Happy with overall function. Gave it a 4 instead of 5 because it doesn't take out creases very easily.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Love this for tackling wrinkled clothes anything from tee shirts to jeans and formal wear. I use distilled water to keep any calcium from building up. I purchased a cheap bbq sauce dispensor for use filling the tank up since my iron has a small opening to fill its tank. So the dispensor just sits ready in the laundry room to fill either this clothes steamer or other laundry items that require water. However the tank to refill on this steamer does easily turn right out of its base to fill by bottle or faucet. I really like the soft grip finish on this steamer and overall think it’s an attractive looking steamer. It does get VERY hot if you chose that setting and the only thing I would recommend besides distilled water with it is to make sure to unplug it once you’re finished with using it. I’ve discovered that even when I switch the lever to off it maintains the heat to be started quickly back up. That might be an operator error since I did not read the instructions and I’m pretty confident that it clearly states how to use it. I just didn’t take the time to read the instructions. Since purchasing it’s been working great with tons of use and has shown to be a great laundry go-to. Highly recommend.
