Do the tree trimmer handles stay locked in place when extended?

My left handle will not stay locked. Slides up and down.

Are these made in Taiwan, China, or elsewhere?

Our products is made in China. We considered multiple locations when we started THANOS and after a lot of research, we decided that China gave us the best opportunity to make the biggest difference in the world. We have gone to great lengths to ensure that our manufacturing partners are the best at what they do and follow ethical business practices. This includes the treatment of their employees and the manufacturing of their products.

Can the blades be sharpened or replaced?

While the blade could be replaced, it wouldn't be practical. So far this one has remained sharp, but would be no problem to sharpen. I have an old set of loppers that I used for 20 some odd years, and occasionally touched up the blade on it.
