Kaptron Tools Spoons and Collapsible Measuring Cups Set 8 Pieces, Multiple Sizes, Multicolor

Update: It's been 15 months and still hasn't cracked or split anywhere.Previous Review:So I never used measuring cups and spoons in my entire life. I had a female guest over back in 2012 and she complained that I didn't have any. I was using a liquid measuring cup at the time and I didn't understand why that wasn't good enough. Well today I used a breadmaker for the first time and baked some bread. And I used these measuring cups and spoons. They are so excellent. I really like the looks and design. The cups are flat to save room but then you gently press the plastic cup part and it extends to full size. Everything looks so good. The dark plastic. The different color cups and spoon interiors. The numbering. They work so well too. When you measure dry ingredients, it's better not to spoon the flour with the measuring cup. If you do so, you might end up with an extra spoon of flour. What you do is stir the flour, then use a tablespoon or something to put flour into the measuring cup. Then gently tap the side of the measuring cup to get rid of air pockets. These plastic measuring cups are perfect for that. They respond to the light tapping and they get rid of air pockets easily. Then use a spatula or knife or something to level the cup. I really enjoyed using these and they are extremely pleasant to look at. I don't know how long they will last. But just try to take good care of them. If you can make them last a year, then that will be only $10 a year. Worth it! But if it breaks after a few uses, then that wouldn't be good. I'm pretty confident mine won't break after a few uses because I already demonstrated how they work to my friends a few times by pressing the plastic out. So I think that these people with broken cups are just being overly rough with theirs. Like maybe they are intentionally pushing as hard as they can with their fingers to test the limits. No idea. But for pushing the plastic cup part out and putting flour inside, I don't see how they could break. But then again I could be wrong.

Very happy with these especially after I was skeptical with some of the negative points I read. While stainless steel might seem like a classier option these are all you really need for all your basic measurements. I don't do any baking so those 6 or more sets are just wasted spoons that I may never end up using. The quality is solid and don't feel cheap to me at all, more notable the spoons. I much prefer the flat bottom over any of the usual rounded I come across and etched in the handle measurement. They also fold in nicely and truly are space saving. The more wide size I can see being a trouble for those that like to put it directly into a spice jar and won't fit most. I purchased the magnetic spice cans that are about 2.5" wide so that problem is not an issue whatsoever. The cups are great also, pop in and out with little effort. I expected to be a bit disappointed but found I am anything but!

Absolutely love them, they look just as pictured and even better for using than I expected. Very sturdy and easy to clean. Love that they are connected making it much easier to find and saving so much room with being collapsible, so easy to pop open and close up that anyone even with major hand issues can use.

I already have a few sets of measuring cups that take up too much space, so these are very nice to have in my accessory drawer. They hardly take any space, they quickly open up and compact when it's time to put away, and it's easier to get ALL the ingredients out of the cup into my recipe, which is a PLUS for me. You can also detach the cups from the ring to use them separately if you wish. These came with the measuring spoons, which I didn't need, but might be a bonus for others. As far as cleaning, they're pretty easy to clean because you can "turn them inside out" to clean more thoroughly, although silicone doesn't seem to clean as easily as metal does. All in all, this is a great purchase, and I like that each cup is a separate color, adding a bright and cheerful look to the otherwise drab accessory drawer.

The measuring spoons are a little difficult to clean being that they are square. I thought I would like them because that are different. However, after having them, I'm not real fond of them. But since they are going to be in my RV, I won't use them a whole lot, I'll work with them. Overall all I like the concept of the foldable measuring cups, helps with space in the RV. I haven't checked for accuracy.

These are easy to use, takes less space to store and are easy to clean. This is our 2nd set. We have one for the house that we have had for 4 years, they are still in good working order and look new. The 2nd set we bought is for use in our camper.

Great product. The collapsible feature is perfect for our kitchen. They are brightly colored so they are easy to spot in the void that is our cooking utensil drawer. They are sturdy without being unnecessarily heavy.The measuring spoons are, well, adorable. Also brightly colored, so they are easy to find. They store and clean easily.Really great product for the price. I received it in two days. It was package very neatly and care was taken to ensure it arrived intact.
