Clear line, But false positive
The strip test gave me what looked like a solid positive result within the timeframe. Not faint, a non questionable dark line. Sadly, it was false. When you’re dealing with infertility for years, that kind of false hope is heartbreaking.

Works as describe. Purchased because I thought it would be faster than anything else, but found the big box of strips sold here as well work and catch HGC just as well.

I rank these highest and all tests I have tried. The instructions indicate that testing can be started as early as six days prior to your missed period. I started early testing and initially the results were negative. However, three days prior to my missed period, I had to get blood tests and a very low level of serum ẞhCG was detected. I retested the urine that evening, out of curiosity and the result was positive. I tried the Clear Blue at that time and it was still negative. The Clear Blue test remain negative until the day prior to the missed period. By the time the result was positive, I had started using the strip tests (Test Often) from the packet. I tested approximately every 12 hours and some progression in the boldness of the test line was noted. (See first photo.) These are great for early testing. However, they cost significantly more than the standard strip tests. Also, I could not find any of the separate strips in bulk to monitor progression, only the combination “Test early, test often package”. Ultimately, I bought Clinical Guard, to continue monitoring, given that it was much cheaper. The lines in that brand started off much less bold, but did the job required at the time. They likely would have been negative if tested at the same time as the first positive First Response test. Obvious progression was seen. (See second photo.) All in all, if an accurate result is needed prior to your missed period, this is a great choice.

I got my first positive with the little test strips at 9 DPO. I thought it was fake positive because of all the bad reviews and the pink cap tests were negative. So I retested 10 DPO morning/afternoon - still negative with pink caps but the strips had a very light positive line again! (Wait at least 10 minutes before reading the strip tests.) Finally I got my pink cap positive 10 DPO evening! Make sure you hold your pee for at least 4-6 hours if testing in the evening. Very faint lines but my tests are getting darker so I’m confident!! I’m still shocked the test strips were more sensitive! I tested my husband’s pee (labeled Sam) with the pink test strips and no indent line, no positive indications at all. Baby dust to all trying for a little one!!

Overall good value as you get multiple other test strips with the tests.
