All plants are growing great.
When we got these, they looked like dirty weeds tied together in a rubber band. My wife separated them and said, "You're going to plant these. They look like weeds and I have doubts." Yes...there were some that looked healthier than others, but I figured that we'd give it a shot.Every single plant is thriving. The strawberry "plugs" are apparently very durable and robust, even if they don't look great when strapped together. I have a bunch of plants growing great on the patio and already producing fruit.NOTE: I'm realizing that I need more plants in the coming years. While they're growing great, and they're already tried to spread into the flower bed around the patio (a good thing for me), each plant only products a few strawberries. I eat a LOT of strawberries, so 25 plants is just a start. I need 100-150 to cover a summer (looking at current production). I've only had the strawberries planted for maybe 6 weeks and getting a few berries turning red right now. Perhaps they'll keep producing all summer, but even then, 25 plants won't overwhelm our kitchen. Perhaps this will change, but just know that you may need more than you think. That being said, my hope was to get most of the plants to grow and produce...and all of them are growing and producing. Product was just what I wanted.

My experience so far
I ordered these on April 27. Received May 1. Packaging and moisture cloth was in great condition. I planted after soaking for about 3 hours on May 6 in a GreenStalk Tower. This is my first year trying strawberries at all. I watched many YouTube videos from various people/gardeners on this topic. I am pleasantly surprised. The plants already have 2-3 leaves, and 5 plants had 1 flower. They all appear to be doing well except for 2, but I believe that is my error as I may have overwatered those 2 pockets at first. We will see. I did cut the flowers off and plan to do so for each plant as my research shows you want to cut the flowers at first allowing the plants to focus on foliage and once, they are established well with multiple stems and leaves, allow them to flower and produce the fruit. I hope I am right. I am just excited to have strawberries at all the first year and know that next year they will even be more productive. Excellent price too! I also bought Seascape variety from the same seller and had the exact same experience. I did fill my tower with most of the Seascape at first and 2 rows of the Albion. I planted the remaining Albion in a shallow container (like a window container type) and those are actually doing the best with bigger leaves and more stems. Good luck to all and Happy growing!

Trustworthy seller, Great bare roots
UPDATE May 5, 2025:All 26 are growing beautifully! Pinched off some flowers that were starting to grow today (Planted April 18) I will say, I also ordered these from Indiana Berry and planted those over a week later. They are the same size as these here and essentially outgrowing them. So, for convenience and quick shipping, order these. If you want very high quality you can go to Indiana Berry, they will both survive! Indiana Berry took over 2 weeks to ship so for anyone that is bad at planning that might not be ideal. Overall, highly recommend these! These are great! Received 26 and they’re all growing. It’s been extremely cloudy where I am so the growth is slow but it was very sunny yesterday and they really started moving (Day 4 as I type this). All but two have a decent sized leaf (the two are just growing slower I expect the leaf to grow out tomorrow most likely)Considering the majority of reviews are showing growing plants, you can trust the seller has decent bare roots. I took a chance and I’m happy with my purchase. Shipping was fast and they promise to ship within 2 days, mine shipped the 2nd day and was delivered the very next day. Ordered Tuesday, shipped Thursday, arrived Friday (i’m in PA).Remember to soak them in tepid water for 30-1hr+ and you’re good!

So far so good.
So far so good. They came very dry. I soaked the roots for an hour and planted them right away. It’s only been 3 days but they already have some new growth. We’ll see how they do this year and we’ll see how they taste.
