The best 80/20 book by a gem of an author
This is a review of the 2022 edition dedicated to Tim Ferriss.Richard Koch has always been a super accessible author, and in the last 10 years I can’t help but feel he has levelled up again and again. He truly is one of the most fun and clear writers on strategic principles and success. Combine that with his financial success hitting the times rich list and his ongoing investment success - hi is well worth listening to!This is his/the best 80/20 book yet, a superb revision that conveys so well. Combined with his books “The Star Principle” and “Unreasonable Success and how to achieve it” we have a trio of must read books that have had the some of the greatest impact on my life - they have made me invest in the right things at the right time and also work out when to say no.Post pandemic this is the ideal book to pick up; to help remember whats important and what we focus our time on in the future.

Many useful nuggets, ironically too long
Many useful nuggets of wisdom in this book. Found it funny that the first section was far too long and a lot of the book could have been cut down to distill the 20% of real importance. But left with some great takeaway. Read it, but skim liberally.

80/20 Principle
The 80/20 Principle (ie updated and totally revised) is a best selling book by Richard Koch (ie a very successful serial entrepreneur, leader, consultant and author). Based on The Pareto Principle. Where 80% of your output. come from 20% of your input. This book is a real eye opener and very insightful and inspiring. If you are interested in finding out why and how to improve your results. Then you really need this book. I have already read it several times and I personally learn something new each time that I read it. Highly and personally recommended

Borderline worthit
6/10This is probably the lowest rating ive given a book before.I bought this book with the intention of sophisticating my knowledge of the 80/20 principle so I could ruthlessly apply it to my life. The book taught me about the history of the 80/20 principle and how it came about in greater detail, which I liked. It also mentioned many domains to apply it in, which was useful but most I already had an understanding of. I was expecting quite a bit of repetition (as the whole book is based on one principle), but I was expecting the repetition to be in smart ways and of good quality which wasnt the case. But overall it was quite boring, with the author elaborating on random unrelated topics with questionable reasoning- I feel like he didnt do such a useful principle justice.

Changed the way I work
This book is excellent, it completely changed my outlook in work.I don’t want to give too much away about the principle it’s self but it basically helps identify those tasks which take 20% effort to achieve 80% output which will make you stand out above everyone else whilst actually doing less!It doesn’t just focus on work but life in general. Ways to be happier, how to make money etc.I definitely recommend this book for ambitious people. I just wish I read it 10 years ago

Interesting ideas
I found this book well written with some interesting ideas. The concept of leveraging the most value add activities isn't necessarily new in the business world but this book makes the idea more accessible to the reader and expands into your personal life also. Some valuable insights and would recommend.
