Works as expected. Coverage throughout my single floor house is excellent and solves my problem. Definitely better than my OEM Intel Wireless. Great value! Easy to install in my Surface docking station, but with a tip (might have been covered by others): Before plugging it in and before disabling existing Bluetooth adapter, "Remove" all of your existing Bluetooth connections/pairings...then disable the existing adapter...then plug in the new adapter. I couldn't connect my earbuds to the new adapter using the old pairings, and I couldn't remove them with the old adapter disable, so the sequence is important.

I don't know why some people have had such trouble using this. I plugged it in to a USB 3.0 port on my desktop computer and without uninstalling any existing drivers it worked right away. I know the instructions say to uninstall my current bluetooth driver but I've learned doing that can make a mess so I always find out if my existing driver works with a new device without an issue and voila it worked perfectly. Of course I had to go into Bluetooth "properties" in control panel and connect it to my earbuds but I expected that. The big surprise is I can now walk anywhere in my 2150 sq. ft. home and and it worked beautifully with no cut outs, signal drops, etc. With my previous Bluetooth adapter I couldn't even go to the bathroom which is about 25 ft. away from my computer without the signal cutting out completely. No worries now and I'm loving it.

So first I want to leave my review of the products performance. Then I'll speak to the issue I've ran into. For the first 10 days this product worked immaculately! Great range, plug n play with all Linux distros I connected it to. (Kali, Garuda, and DragonOS tested) Did great scanning and "auditing" with Kali Linux. LITERALLY TODAY I've found that although my USB drives are still picking it up fine, just as they have. rfkill is not blocking the device, I've found it isn't usable or available in any form either manually via terminal as I have used it or more desktop centered methods. Across Kali and Garuda (across two architectures arm64 and amd64 -- raspberry pi 5 & modern linfux laptop) so although I cannot and it doesn't appear to be cooked, something has still happened and until I can attribute this fault to either the device itself or OS I refuse to dock such a great product more than 1 star. Will update as situation is resolved, will not lower tho for a simple reason : price it's dirt cheap I should and could have bought 2 things happen and you should expect them to when your getting great deals on high tech hardware if I pay under 20$ I buy 2 and for some reason I didn't this time : ( . bc i If I had a second to swap to it's likely I'll pick this device up in a month when I've forgotten about it and it will work again. Swapping between 2 of them allievafes the wear and tear this is what I do with cheaper wifi dongles and keyboards.

I bought this for two reasons. First was that my work laptop uses an older 5.1 chipset and the new headset I was testing for work was 5.4. Secondly was that the laptop had a small internal antenna for Bluetooth while this is a large external antenna, which helped greatly with range. I tested this with my personal PC, which is in the far corner of my house. Using Audacity to record my voice, I tested the range by walking and talking across my house. I was able to make it complete opposite side of my house (1600 sq.ft) with ZERO static on my recording. Playback worked just as great too. Sadly, I ended up returning this as the headset I purchased had some other issues. No fault to ZEXMTE, the adapter is perfect and I'd gladly recommend it!

Drivers not included, drivers online still didnt' work, Github etc.. Cannot be loaded on Win10x64. Watched Multiple Youtubes, researched actual Realtek chip drivers. That's too much work for a $14 POS. Get what I paid for, will look for a bigger brand now.

Once you get it installed and working, it works perfectly. Low review because drivers/software are lacking. It took me ages to find a driver that worked consistently.

My wife has two computers and a bedside bluetooth speaker * Her Windows 10 laptop kept shutting down its bluetooth system as she listened to online bedtime audiobooks. * Her Windows 11 AIO was just too far away ( 35feet) to stream pleasantly. This unit fixed both!! I plugged the unit into the AIO, shut down the built-in bluetooth & fiddled with drivers for less than three minutes and bingo!! strong and clear audio streaming. (Perhaps the fiddling would have been unnecessary, had I shut down the old chip _before_ plugging this one in) 2: The Windows 10 laptop was even easier - I just physically plugged this in to the USB and it plays perfectly, right away. She sleeps easier now -- so I do too.

Works as it was intended and great price.
