I bought one similar for our old boat but it was sold out. We bought a second one (different brand) for the new boat, it got stuck and we had to pry it off. We found this one instead. We loved it more then the original. It collapses and comes with a tie you can keep it together. It will sink, so don't let go. The only problem I see. But we still love it.

These steps are well made and heavy duty. I would recommend them with the following caveat. The bolts supplied are useless. They extend only 1/2 inch beyond the bracket. You would be hard pressed to find any boat besides a aluminum john boat with a transom that thin. I ordered 4 stainless 3/8 16 thread by 4” philips head bolts and nuts from Mcmaster carr, The cost was 27$. The product price is deceptive since it is incomplete, otherwise it’s a good product.

Made of nice material but fits very loose in the mount. Shifts back and fourth when trying to use.

The bolts stick through ladder bracket about 1 1/2 inch and transits on back of boats are 2 inch so add 21.00 for 4 stainless bolts
