The quality is great! It's solid and sturdy. There is a thick coating of beeswax to protect the woods, that smells amazing. It fits 5 standard deep frames. The nuc and frames were easy to put together. It only takes a few minutes. Completed, the box is aesthetically pleasing.NOTE: you have to wax the plastic foundation!

Easy assembly and the sturdiest box I’ve put together! Predrilled holes are terrific and everything for together tightly. Wax dipping is thick and will last 100x longer than any paint job!

The box seems sturdy upon putting it together. I like that it's cedar and dipped in wax, seems really nice. The frames also showed up unassembled, but the main irritation is that the foundations that arrived are not waxed. They only have a website that leads to a generic field to fill in- hopefully they'll make good on a replacement of all 5 foundations asap. I wanted to have a nuc ready this week and now have to wait.

Update 7-26-2022: Oh, Bee Castle….you should have left well enough alone. They said they were going to send me 10 replacement frames to make up for the 5 poorly waxed frames(which I wasn’t even complaining about, just mentioning). So I received a box with 8 very poorly assembled frames (like unusable as is. No glue, nails not completely driven in - they rattle when you pick them up), and 6 sheets of very nicely waxed foundation. I appreciate the effort, but this looks worse than if you had done nothing. End result - the boxes are extremely nice. No complaints. The frames that came with the boxes were very nice, just somehow the foundation didn’t get waxed. It appears that their foundation is normally nicely waxed, because the 6 replacements I received were very nice. I’ll disassemble and rebuild the frames they sent so they can be used. I’m happy. It’s nice stuff. Don’t send anything else. 4 stars.Update 7-20-2022: Bee Castle reached out and inquired about the dry foundation. They apologized for the inconvenience and offered to send replacement frames. They indicated that their frames are normally well waxed and suggested that the issue may have been a packing error. I will compare the new frames to the originals and update when they arrive. It wasn’t a huge deal - I was just pointing out the potential issue so people could be prepared. I appreciate that they care, so I’m updating to 4 stars for now. If the new foundation is good, I’ll update again.Original:Nice box - tight parts fitment, well waxed. Love it - but the plastic foundation that comes on the frames doesn't appear to have the slightest amount of wax on it. My bees didn't want to draw it without adding wax. Not a major issue, but be aware that you will want some wax on hand.
