I was looking for something to pre-chill and maintain ice in a rotomolded cooler. The major brands were expensive and smaller. The Kona Large Ice Packs are perfect. At 4pounds total and gel filled, they freeze quickly and once truly frozen, they stay very cold for days in a cooler. They arrive empty except for the powder in the bottom. You add the called for amount of water, shake, and presto! I added the called for amount of water, carefully measured, and none of my packs swelled. I liked this product enough that I purchased another 4, so now have 8 total. the Kona Large Ice Packs are well built, thick plastic, and the handle is super...handy. If you're looking for a large ice pack to extend the ice in a cooler, these are really terrific.

These ice packs are great! It may seem a bit unusual to have to actually add water to mix the chemical inside the pack, but it is very easy. Have no fear!! These ice packs keep their cold for a very long time and ice packs avoid the watery mess of melting ice cubes. Keeping your cooler cold and dry with the Kona Large Ice Packs. I really like the molded in handles for both placing in the freezer to get frozen and then grabbing them to put in the cooler. Recommended!

These work really well if you are tired of buying bags of ice. This is for you

I love these things. I actually use these for my rabbits in summer, but they would make for great cooler inserts. They stay frozen for 3-4 hours in the heat with my rabbits laying on them to keep cool. Cleaning is easy. I just use a sponge, soap, and the hose. Haven't had issues with leaks (going on 2 full summers of use.) Easy to use - just fill with their mystery blue powder, fill with water, freeze to get them started. You don't need to dump and refill or anything. Just freeze use, freeze, use, etc.

These ice packs get really cold and stay that way for hours. They fit my soft sided cooler bag perfectly. Wish the cost was less.

Immediate substitute for bags of cube ice for refrigerator/freezer/cooler especially during power outage. Always handy and is effective for several hours.

I really like that these are available for the customer to just fill with water. It makes them far less expensive to ship and helps keep their overall cost down. Once filled per the instructions, they froze solid overnight. I've used them a few times and they stay frozen much longer than ice packs I have from YETI that are thicker and heavier. The fill cap seals tight and stays on well. There is no worry of them leaking. Mine haven't leaked at all. The slim profile and lighter weight are also nice about them, taking up less room and aren't as heavy to carry as other brands. The purchase price is also very attractive compared to other brands.

works great. stays cold longer than an ice block. only downfall is the are too big to put two on the bottom of my 60l cabelas cooler so i use one of these and a 2lb one of same brand. then put some food and layer another one of these with another 2lb one. afterwords i will load the coolers remaining space with blocks. my cabelas cooler stays cold up to 10 days (verified personally). the cubed ice melts and start to turn to water after 5-7 days but these ice packs are still mostly frozen.

These fit my cooler perfect and kept everything cold for 2 days.
