The Trap: What It Is. How It Works. And How We Escape Its Illusions

It’s vital to grasp the broader message
When I first came across the notion of a soul trap, well over a decade ago, it was relatively esoteric information. I think it was the late Art Bell (Coast to Coast AM) who probably did the most to bring the issue to public attention, cautioning his listeners that they may wish to rethink going ‘into the light’, after death.Today, it’s an increasingly hot topic in the spiritual community. And, predictably, there are two camps: those who believe that we are, indeed, deceived into returning to earth, over and over again, and those who do not. What’s undeniable, however, is that if one continues to believe that the earth is some sort of school for souls, and that we reincarnate in order to learn and evolve, then guess what’s going to happen? That’s right. Trap or not, that will become one’s experience. As a lifelong seeker of truth, I have come to the conclusion that reality is most likely non-objective. So arguments over whether it works this way or that way are actually less important than one’s own preferences. For if someone doesn’t actually want to return to earth, but believes that they have to, or should do, for whatever reason (perhaps in order to right some wrong from a previous lifetime), then guess what’s going to happen? That’s right… one’s beliefs will take precedence over one’s desires. BELIEF CREATES REALITY.Beyond all belief systems, however, as David rightly makes clear, is the simple realisation that there is no authority outside of oneself; unless one believes that there is, of course, in which case such an authority will appear, as if by magic. That’s how powerful we are, as creators. How appropriate, then, that this “evil,” which seems to have enslaved humanity, has no power but that which humanity gives it. How appropriate, also, that manifestations of this evil are, by definition, unconscious, and not part of the Divine (consciousness itself). In other words, it doesn’t exist! “Infinite love is the only truth.”The secret to escaping the trap, as David points out, is to realise that there is no trap… and therefore no victims. We’re actually doing it to ourselves, through our beliefs and through the acquiescence of our divine power to the phantoms that we ourselves have brought into being.

Brilliant book!!!
I did not take much notice of David Icke when he appeared to 'go crazy' in the 1990s. However, watching him over the past few years and reading this book it's clear that he has a brilliant mind and that what he talks and writes about is completely right and very very relevant to what's happening in the world of today. He was rubbished by the mainstream media years ago and this prevented people from actually listening to him. Once you read this book it opens up whole new thought processes and shows you just how we are being manipulated by the elites. Amazing book David and I will definitely be buying the next one!

Very on point
I'll get this out of the way at the beginning: if you've read Icke's other books, skip the first 5 chapters as they're biographical and you know it already. It nearly stopped me reading the entire book.Thankfully, I waded through and am really glad I did. I've been studying soul trap and simulation ideas for years now and this book does not disappoint. Icke manages to piece it all together in a way that makes sense. His use of 3rd, 4th and 5th dimensions is so much easier to grasp than the confusing mess in the new age arena. It's just a way of describing the layers of reality, and his method works well for me.His WTF chapter is very grounding and can help a lot of people to develop discernment, which is really necessary with all the YouTube, new age charlatans out there. This is my favourite Icke book by far.

Like all of Davids Books ...Essential reading (listening )in these "Great Reset " times
Listening to the Audio felt like I was sitting in the pub with a wise friend - getting to know him that little bit better . Wonderful !Chapt 7,8,9, Mind Blowing info . Serious deletion of old programming required . I needed to go over the teaching several times in order to wrap my limited 3D head around it . The concepts discussed are difficult and complex . I feel a little less stupid now .The Mystery of K . Very Very interesting . I hope she contacts David physically in this 3D realm .Chapt 11,12 . This is an excellent summation of the Covid, Transgender ,Cilmate Change,Censorship,Current war in Ukraine Agenda = FEAR Agenda . 2+2 will never= 5Knowledge is power .Thank you David Icke for facilitating and encouraging our self belief and self respect .

David Icke, moving towards the mainstream mass market
I’ve read most of David Icke’s books. He simply takes other people’s work and tries to make it sound more far out. With this book he does less of that, probably realising he now has a wider audience. Can he mention more films? Drops the odd Bible quote for the American readers. Watch him being ‘interviewed’ basically he is just allowed to talk on and on, with the odd prompt of where to do next. He is banned, simply to get him more followers. Good stuff, but too many things point to him working for the system from day one.

Interesting
This was an interesting read and was interested to read about David Icke's early life. However, as far as avoiding the 'White Light' I feel David has missed the point somewhat. Some souls need or want to go to the light for their spiritual lessons. Jesus came from a higher place to teach us. There are higher being in higher realms ready to help us and all we have to do is allow them in. From what I gather from what David is saying there are no higher beings - just Jesus and the white light is bad. The first David Icke book I read was Truth Vibrations and I loved it and I have read other David Icke books and they are worth reading with everything slotting into place as regards the cabal.

Amazing Author! Gives food for thought! Well written!
Excellent book! Explores the nature of our reality and how we live in it in a very simple and understanding way. If you want to learn more about the world we live in or to explore and alternative narrative different from what we have been told in our lives , that's your book. Promotes critical thinking and food for thought. Well done!

Corner crushed, coffee/soft drink stain on front cover
The damage doesn't affect legibility, however, I would expect these defects from a used book, not a new one!Rating is only due to physical condition of the book, I haven't read it but Icke never ceases to amaze!

What a release!
I never would have discovered "The Biggest Secret" so many years ago were it not for my being an inquisitive free-thinker. Had I listened to what others were saying of David Icke ('the bloke's as barmy as Benjamin'), this book that had such a huge impact on me, to this day I'd probably still be ignoring and regarding as on par with the (personally verified) ravings of Mr. Creme. What little do critics of David Icke know, and especially those who dismiss his work out of hand, without even examining the information for themselves. Now along comes THE TRAP, Icke's fourth book in four years. (Do I sense a yearly trend developing?) A book penned by a marriage counselor, this is not. This also isn't your typical Icke book, or at least the forepart is not like any of Icke's previous works. In my review of "Perceptions of a Renegade Mind," I put forth the question of whether Icke would ever get around to writing his memoirs. I think it's safe to say, THE TRAP comes as close to accomplishing this as anything that's preceded it.From chapter one through four, THE TRAP basically reads like an autobiography. We're introduced to David Icke's parents, all the while as the author recalls his childhood years and later his time spent as a footballer, journalist, TV reporter, and politician, prior to his memorable and life-changing encounter in meeting psychic Betty Shine. It's in these first few chapters that we are let in on a softer, warmer side to Icke that up till now we normally haven't seen from him in print. It could be argued that the entire book is more subdued in tone, especially more so than the last three titles, which had Icke at his no-holds-barred best. (The term Zionism, I note, isn't even mentioned in the index to THE TRAP; this, a refreshing change from Icke's previous book, in which the terms Zionist/Zionism, hyphenated or otherwise, appears -- according to my count -- a staggering 50 times in the second chapter, alone!)I wouldn't go so far as to say this read is breezy, as Icke does eventually get down to business, beginning in chapter four and onwards, but it definitely seems more focused on the mystical than the para-political, compared with his previous three books.Incidentally, if you've ever wondered whether Icke's three now grown-up children were conditioned if not ultimately coerced into living a life defending freedom, the answer as told in these pages is an emphatic no, they were not. (If only all parents raised their kids like David and Linda did theirs, the world would be a much better place.)All in all, THE TRAP makes for an absorbing read, and as a Canadian I especially appreciated Icke taking time out to highlight and comment on the Freedom Convoy protests that occurred in this country earlier in the year. Thank you.So Icke was mercilessly ridiculed whilst speaking before a gathering of (indoctrinated) university students...when it could be argued that about all the education a person needs towards becoming truly knowledgeable about life is Icke's oeuvre! (If that's not high praise, I don't know what is. And no, I wasn't paid to say that.)
