Worked great to level off edge of lifted sidewalk slab
I bought this with the intention of using it to shave down the edge of a lifted concrete sidewalk section in front of my house. Having never attempted to grind concrete before I was not sure if it would work or how long it would last. I am happy to report that it worked extremely well! It is not as fast as a dedicated concrete grinding machine but my angle grinder and this grinding cup did the job in under 15 minutes for less than 10 bucks! The results are better looking than when the city comes and does the job and I didn't have to pay $300 which is a win-win in my book! As an added bonus I would estimate that after grinding down 2 feet of concrete by 1/2" the grinding cup still has about 50% of its life left. I am impressed with this product and would highly recommend it if you are looking for a cost effective and simple solution for grinding some concrete.

Solid Grinding on Slate and Wood
The media could not be loaded. I've been really impressed with this grinder attachment. Seeing that many different ones were for sale on the site, I went this one because of the price and simply because it looked solid. As you can see in my video, this thing absolutely devoured the slate table top I was working on, grinding it down almost a quarter inch in very little times. Yes it's hard to grind even a soft stone completely smooth with this grinder attachment, but it's a great first step.I've also used this grinder for an initial treatment on rough barn wood, and it's worked well. Sanding after takes much less time. It's a simple tool that does the job and lasts longer than a grit grinder wheel. So I like it a lot.

but not any better than the others above
We recently had to replace about a thousand square feet of outdoor tile on a concrete slab. We had done a similar project two years ago on an adjacent area, so knowing what we were getting into, we bought several wheels to help remove the old thin set. We used a new DeWalt 13amp grinder with all of them. On the previous project we used the "4 inch Diamond Segment Grinding Cup Wheel Disc Grinder Concrete Granite Stone" (blue disc) at just over eleven dollars and it worked well and lasted for about 350 square feet. We decided that this time we would try several to see if we could get more square footage out of a blade or more importantly, if we could work less hard to remove the material (i.e. we hoped another blade would be more aggressive and reduce the effort needed). Following are all of the blades including the one this review is attached to. We hope this breakdown will help.DeWalt DW4774 4-1/2" Double Row:.This blade seemed to be the best of the bunch, but at thirty-five dollars, we question whether or not it was noticeably superior enough to justify the cost. As to durability, we finished the last 200 square feet of the project with this blade and it was still going strong which might be the justification for the price.OCR 4" Concrete Turbo Diamond Grinding Cup Wheel Three Row....:This wheel did very well and for the lower priced group lasted just shy of the 4" Diamond Segment Grinding Cup Wheel Disc... (Blue version). It ultimately lasted for about 300 square feet.4" Diamond Segment Grinding Cup Wheel Disc... (Blue version):We liked this one the best of the inexpensive group (and have ordered extras). It consistently got about 350 square feet and seemed to wear out evenly. A really good buy for the dollar.Whirlwind USA GPST 4.5" Heavy Duty Grinding Cup Wheel:This was the most expensive of the group and at first we were very disappointed in it. After using it for a while though, we came to realize it is better suited for polishing work rather than fast removal of large amounts of material. It did not seem to wear much at all for the work it did and we will look forward to using it when we need to provide a smooth finished surface. For just grinding, don't pay the high price, it is definitely not worth it.4" Diamond Segment Double Row Grinding Cup Wheel Disc.... (Black Version):This was the least competent of the bunch. It worked reasonably well but only lasted for about 200 square feet. At the end, it literally lost all of its teeth and was just a smooth flat wheel. The others in the twelve dollar range were much better buys.In summary, we feel that if you are only going to grind a smaller area of concrete (or like material) and it is not a massive project like ours, the inexpensive blades are a great buy and do just as good a job, if not better.

Did a great job on concrete
This did a great job on concrete. Had a raised section that was a pain, so used this on a simple angle grinder. It comes with an inner ring (for smaller arbor) - I took that out and used the larger diameter directly on my angle grinder and it fit and tightened up perfectly. As you probably saw in other reviews, grinding concrete generates a LOT of dust, so make sure you have a dust mask on, safety glasses, and if it's not windy, use a fan or something to blow the dust away from you. The cup design did a good job of not getting hot and blowing the dust out of the grinding area - you just want to make sure it goes away from you. I found that just using light pressure worked best - it took off a fair amount of material, wasn't tiring, and didn't really seem to wear the disk down. I got the yellow cup with 12 segments (heavy duty model B) and it has a ton of life left in it even after grinding a significant amount of concrete. It also left the concrete nice and smooth, which was an added bonus. Highly recommend this if you have a concrete project.

Best $9 I have ever spent
This thing is a beast. Prepped my entire 1100 sq foot concrete basement floor for LVT with this thing. Not only did it take down patch, self leveler, and concrete itself, it also took down old adhesive. I cannot say enough great things about the value of this product. I was looking at options at Lowes/home depot, and their DeWalt concrete grinding wheels are upwards of $90. For a tenth of the price of it, this thing out performs for the money. I actually just bought another one for the hell of it as I feel like the seller got ripped off from the first one. I would highly advise all to use a P100 respirator while grinding any type of concrete in a poorly ventilated area. 3M mages a great one I use extremely often. All in all, 5+ stars and great product.
