The part is well constructed, and it does work for balanced connections. I had purchased another brand with a gold finish on Amazon and the 1/4" did not lock into place. These are MUCH better and very reasonably priced.

Said this elsewhere, didn't work TRS cable to Female XLR input for a specific and complicated purpose. I think if you just need to go from cable to input you should be fine.

a solution to use headphones with a guitar amp
the product worked as i would have hoped it would. It enabled me to be able to use my headphone through my guitar amp which has no headphone jack but has balanced lineout feature, for late night practice . I plug the adaptor in the xlr jack, mute the amp plug in my head phones. but keep in mind you need to have a balanced lineout feature that uses a XLR jack to do this

Worth the monsy!!!
I use them for my audio snake to connect instruments that are running 1/4 plugs, the snake is XLR. No distortion of sound and well made.
