Bon Super-Flex Silicone Grout Bag 24 in. x 13 in. with 3/8 in. Replaceable Stainless Steel Tip for Consistent Mortar Flow

I see that this product is no longer available less than a month after purchasing it. That's unfortunate because it is the best mortar bag I've ever used. It is strong (feels like rubberized plastic) yet, it is very thin and flexible. It is easy for someone with smaller hands to keep the mortar twisted down toward the tip. Although it came with a metal tip insert, that was too small an opening for our needs. We even cut about 1/4" off the end to allow more mortar to be piped into gaps. Also, the construction is such that permanent creases run along each side. This allows you to pinch the end to reach into some smaller joints.

I have my own masonry business so I have been through hundreds of grout bags. The $8 Marshalltown bag that Lowe's carries will last me between 5-8 uses before they tip wears out and is to big. The $6 bag menards sells are more comfortable but the side blows out after 4 or 5 uses. This bag is by far the best one yet. Its rubber, light and easy quick clean up. I'm on the 6th use and have not had to cut the tip once. HERE IS A TIP FOR D.I.Y.ers- Grout bags work well with mason mortar mixes like type S and type N (NOT THINSET MORTATS). If your bag is clogging make your mix wetter. Also rinse every couple fill ups.

This bag is GREAT!! It's very lightweight, very flexible and strong enough to handle squeezing pressure (so far). Its a thin synthetic canvas-like material on the outside, not unlike a durable rain jacket, and it's vinyl coated on the inside. The seam appears to be strong enough to handle repeated squeezing. Atho the metal tip is smaller than usual, it's small enough to get into tighter joints, especially if you flatten it a little on the end. All in all, as mason with 20+years experience, this is THE BEST grout bag I have used thus far. I hope this review helps.

If you do this work that requires constant use then yes it is good quality, I found it to be rather messy, only one size nozzle so it was limited, the item worked as advertised.

Worked awesome. Cleaned up easily. Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it came with only 1 tip. Thought it was to have smaller size tip too. 1/4" tip?

The bag itself is very strong and relatively easy to handle. We used rapid set mortar which set hard in the metal nozzle within seconds. I tried it without the metal nozzle and it is much easier to use, the mortar doesn't set as quickly, and I can easily get the tip of the bag in between bricks without the metal tip.

This grout bag was a test at first. I’ve used Marshaltown grout bags for years. I had another stone mason suggest this to me. At first it takes a little getting used to since the silicon bag is flimsy. This can be annoying when filling the bag with mortar but I didn’t realize how great this bag was until after several months of constant use that this bag doesn’t wear out. I usually go through a regular grout bag in a job or two at best. This has lasted me several Jobs and still hasn’t shown any signs of wear. I bought two more, one to share with a friend and one to keep for a backup. I am thoroughly impressed. I won’t go back to the other kinds.

Pretty easy to load up with cement and gives you reasonable control over the flow from the point. Easy to clean up afterwards. The bag comes with a stainless steel tip to strengthen the point - just be careful you don't lose it between jobs! This helped me whizz through a pretty big repointing job and a couple of smaller ones, so I'm pretty happy with it.

Great bit of kit for repointing jobs, very durable and seems very strong. So much neater than using a pointing trowel or jointer and much easier than using a pointing gun, I highly recommend and will definitely buy again.

I've used a free different grout bags or guns over the last 20 years, the silicone flows nice it's comfortable to handle and you can really moderate the pressure easily to push out material. If you forget to clean it out and the end of the day, you had just rub it between your hands and the mortar will just fall out!
