Wonderful for indoor oil lamps.. Clear, smokeless and odorless!

Got this to run some science experiments and it works great. I have used it in several different applications and it has worked great in every one.

Easy pour spout, odorless and at an affordable price.

Good lantern oil, its clear and odorless and a good choice to buy.

I mix this with Gulf paraffin wax to lower the melting point of the paraffin to around 105-110F for use as a hot wax lubricant for bike chains. I use lamp oil because it has a narrower molecular weight distribution than fuel kero. In winter I use a bit more kero in the mix to lower the melting point and keep the wax from flaking off the chain. In summer, I use a bit less kero. For about 1/5 the cost of commercial hot wax chain lubricants such as Silka, I get 95% of the performance. I bought this because Wal-Mart quit carrying Lamp Oil.

Use this in Crystal oil candlesticks and they are burning clear and clean.

The parifin oil burned steady and bright. However it does smoke slightly and has an odor while burning. It's not overbearing nor does its odor create a disturbance in the house. Still it's a whole lot better than kerosene or diesel and until something better comes along, I'll buy it again.
